Drones. Signs of the apocalypse?

Anyway, I live inside TPA class bravo and on my way to work today my VFR skills spotted a bogey above me at three o'clock. I looked through my Vettes glass top and spied a quad copter flying along Dale Mabry highway at maybe 100 AGL during morning rush hour doing God knows what.

I take this as a bad omen for GA.

I was flying back from Madison, WI to my home drone a couple months ago and once on with MSP Center, who covers all of the U.P. and northern WI heard the controller talking to a regional jet going into Wausau (well, actually KCWA).  The controller advised the RJ that the day before another RJ was flying into that airport and spotted a drone (small one, not military) at 4,000'................yes, 4,000'.  Needless to say neither the RJ pilot or ATC seemed real impressed about that situation.  Never did hear if they figured out who the idiot was.

Where on Dale Mabry? I'm pretty sure there are parts of it that are class B to the surface just east of KTPA

Yep it was in the bravo about one mile east of the airport. I was passing by Jerry Ulm Dodge I think. I take air cargo road past the airport south and that dumps me on Dale Mabry at Tampa Bay blvd. I am on Dale Mabry for about three miles till I turn right in Cypress. This is the heart of the bravo from surface to 10K.

I like the .50 but a 12ga would most likely be better for drones maybe #6 shot.
