Spinners!

Reading several other threads, there are questions about the following:

- how to polish your spinner

- polished vs painted spinners

- spinners & engine mounts

And there have been requests to post spinner pictures. So here is mine last weekend after polishing with the miraculous purple stuff. The second photo is after testing on half of the spinner, one spot the size of my hand.

With the magic Purple stuff touted so strongly last year (a great Christmas gift that I received), this was a 20-minute job, including going around, between and over the bazillion screws with my 3-blade prop. Twenty minutes, no sh!t. One dirty spot on the polishing towel, two filthy buffing towels and a large chunk of microfiber towel. Then washed my hands three times and scrubbed fingers with a vegetable brush. I remembered my latex gloves too late . . .

Anybody want my can of Mothers?

I had a painted spinner that was repaired then it cracked again so I replaced it with a polished one that I found here on MS. It was really dull and I used the California Custom and it shined up real nice but it took a few times to get it there. Looks nice Hank.
