I've used Phil for more years than I care to admit, and I believe I sent flyboy0681 to him. Speaking of which, sounds like you have your plane back Mike. How is she flying, and what paint scheme did your partners finally agree on? Yup, you sent me to Phil. And no, she's still not ready. Looks like another 3-4 weeks, without paint. Quote

The wait will soon be over, and you'll have some interesting stories to tell. I'm saving the design manual for you...just in case. Quote
kilobravo3 Posted January 26, 2018 Report Posted January 26, 2018 (edited) Another vote for Phil. He's been taking care of my airplane for several years now. PJ is about an hour's flight time from my base in GNV, but I wouldn't dream of taking my plane anywhere else. Just dropped her off yesterday for annual. Edited January 26, 2018 by kilobravo3 Quote
Vpopiol Posted June 22, 2018 Report Posted June 22, 2018 Hello, glad to know about Phil in AVO. I’m located in HWO and would like someone local for a prebuy inspection for a 1974 M20C. Any recommendations? Quote
FloridaMan Posted August 5, 2018 Report Posted August 5, 2018 I would trust Phil more than any of the big name MSCs for a PPI. His shop is a two man operation with him and another IA. I use him occasionally for Mooney-specific tasks. One costly issue i have discovered with bigger shops is you often don’t have qualified A&Ps turning wrenches on your plane. Phil may have saved my ass once on my ‘67 F. He discovered an old fuel line that was weeping and dripping onto my exhaust. Aside from Phil, there are two other shops in the state that I think very highly of. Mike at Double-M in Lakeland and there’s a younger guy here on my field in St Pete that continues to impress me. My annuals with the local guy run less than $1000 and he does excellent work and has done a number of non-trivial repairs including composite repairs, running new wires from the battery, and the R&R of my engine. Jeff Shapiro Posted September 16, 2018 Report Posted September 16, 2018 (edited) We've sold three Turboplus M20K intercooler kits to FBO's in FL over the past 8 months. Our customers were extremely pleased with the intercooler kit quality as well as the professionalism and workmanship of each installation. If you're looking for a shop to install your Turboplus intercooler kit please send me a PM or contact me through our website: www.Turboplus.com Edited September 16, 2018 by Jeff Shapiro Picture Quote
