Joe Zuffoletto Posted November 18, 2014 Report Posted November 18, 2014 Does anyone know the owner of the plane mentioned in this article? I hope he's OK. http://www.denverpost.com/news/ci_26961078/search-launched-airplane-missing-southwestern-colorado Quote
wiguy Posted November 19, 2014 Report Posted November 19, 2014 Him and his girlfriend were onboard. There was some talk of bad weather in the area, don't know if it was the exact time of their flight or another timeframe. It's not looking real good, they say the flight ended near 'Buckles Lake'. wiguy Posted November 20, 2014 Report Posted November 20, 2014 Sad indeed, prayers for the family and friends involved. It mentions they 'turned around due to bad weather'? It sounds like it may of been weather related, possible should of kept more daylight around the edge of the operating envelope. Quote
bonal Posted November 20, 2014 Report Posted November 20, 2014 Once again I had to say a prayer thay would have rather not. And as always we dont know all the facts. If it was pilot error then all I can say is lets be smart every one. Better to be safe on the ground wishing you were flying. God speed Quote

Not a very good evening to go flying VFR in the mountains. Quote
