AndyFromCB Posted January 15, 2015 Report Posted January 15, 2015 Tea Party crowd clean up after themselves and don't go around burning down buildings. Big difference......maybe its the guns that deter the dumbasses that like to destroy things. Ask yourself this question, Which group of individuals would you rather have with the guns? Don't believe the media hype.....It's not the same, not even a little bit. As far as the Koch Bros. and Soros is concerned? who cares, it's their money. It's funny tho how the Koch Bros always seem to be on the headlines and not the other scary dude. As to the tea party, occupy wall street or black panthers, I think they are all equally retarded, because all are on extreme ends of the spectrum, unsatisfied if they do not get 100%. Guess what, nobody ever does. I came close one night (pun intended), years ago, with two women in my bed. But it was a fleeting moment...
John Pleisse Posted January 15, 2015 Report Posted January 15, 2015 How hard can that be? Does that work for you guys? Best regards, -a- So why are you trying to sell this here? I don't understand and I'll say it again, there are some who seek to be above the fray while wallowing in it. Take a leadership roll, call the administrator and do what you have to do. But for the life of me, why are you wasting boundless energy discussing it here? Are you seeking affirmation? Relevance? Friendship? Communtiy leaders build alliances when developing policy, we have one in the White House. Find the 7-8 people who are like minded in your cause, PM them, send them messages...then put it in the oven, let it cook and see what you come up with. I for one and as a politcal junkie, would value your social and political thought, not undermine it.
flyboy0681 Posted January 15, 2015 Report Posted January 15, 2015 I came close one night (pun intended), years ago, with two women in my bed. Lucky bastard.
AndyFromCB Posted January 15, 2015 Report Posted January 15, 2015 Lucky bastard. Didn't feel that lucky next morning when my wallet went missing...
flyboy0681 Posted January 15, 2015 Report Posted January 15, 2015 Didn't feel that lucky next morning when my wallet went missing... Ahmmm - you may have a point there.
AndyFromCB Posted January 15, 2015 Report Posted January 15, 2015 Ahmmm - you may have a point there. Like I said, moments like that are always fleeting and there is always a price to pay, so be careful what you wish for...
flyboy0681 Posted January 15, 2015 Report Posted January 15, 2015 Like I said, moments like that are always fleeting and there is always a price to pay, so be careful what you wish for... Words to live by.
carusoam Posted January 15, 2015 Report Posted January 15, 2015 John, I don't have political skill. I can tell that because I am not trying to undermine what you are doing. I ask a lot of questions, often when I don't understand what is going on. On something as important to me as this thread, I want to make sure I understand it before taking any action. I was asking that you guys find a way to achieve the two goals (rename and get off the front page) so it meets your needs while meeting the needs of the MS community. I would be happy to do this for you. I will give it my best attempt anyway... best regards, -a-
John Pleisse Posted January 15, 2015 Report Posted January 15, 2015 Please...... do. You don't need skill, just a point of view. Mooney? Skill.
rob Posted January 15, 2015 Report Posted January 15, 2015 Best I can tell, there's really only one contributor here who crosses lines that would embarrass or be detrimental to the community. The discussion in itself, while sometimes passionate, is generally respectful from most of the participants. Eliminate the bad seeds and problem solved.

Only problem is, the bad seeds are the ones who contribute the most stimulating (if not aggravating) replies.
John Pleisse Posted January 15, 2015 Report Posted January 15, 2015 It's the personal stuff......just argue on merit. 1
flyboy0681 Posted January 15, 2015 Report Posted January 15, 2015 It's the personal stuff......just argue on merit. Would be nice. I've made a conscious point to not call people names or insult their profession or faith. 1
AndyFromCB Posted January 15, 2015 Report Posted January 15, 2015 So what about deflation, ladies and gentlemen? Because if anything is going to fuck us soon, it appears it will be just that. John, I'm willing to take another side bet. No interest rate hikes this or next year or ever again, but for purposes of this bet, Dec 31, 2016... Another bet, too. When deflation rears it's ugly head, GOP will instantly claim they were always on board with $15 an hour minimum wage and any one who says otherwise is clearly an unpatriotic lying sack of shit and a socialist. Note I did not say if, I said when. We have a structural problem of manufacturing over capacity and not enough $$$ in consumers' hands. I'm going to go as far as to predict next Republican candidate for president who makes it past primaries will go as far as recommending we need to raise top tax rates. Do you know why I know all these things? Because in order for the circus we call US of A to continue performing uninterrupted, all these things will next to be done...

John, I'm willing to take another side bet. No interest rate hikes this or next year or ever again, but for purposes of this bet, Dec 31, 2016... The potential for it is very concerning and the drop in oil prices only speeds things up - if it happens at all. In 2009 the term hyper-inflation was thrown around then deflation. Thus far neither has occured. I'm not willing to place any bets on what Yellen has up her sleeve (assuming she not wearing a sleeveless blouse). I sure wouldn't want to see what's happened in Japan come to these shores.
John Pleisse Posted January 15, 2015 Report Posted January 15, 2015 How? They are about to turn off the treasury spigot. When the Quant-sleezing ends, inflation will follow too. The market was up yesterday based primarily on a Fed rate hike. Wall St eats that shhhhit up!!! And remember, Andy......alllllll that great stuff your guy has done, is underpinned in $18 tril of debt. Just sayin'....somethings gotta give. Treasury can't keep buying bonds from John Corzine, ah........wait......sorry.....he lost his wallet.

Just sayin'....somethings gotta give. Who is about to turn off what? Want to bet? Put your money where your mouth is? No interest rate hike in April. Will not happen. If they could, they would go negative... $1000 cool american green backs. Running up another 18 trillion if they have does not cost anyone anything. Deflation means you actually have to pay this back eventually and nobody has any desire to do that. Left, right, center, or upside down. And ending QE is a guaranteed deflation.
John Pleisse Posted January 15, 2015 Report Posted January 15, 2015 I'll take a Fed rate hike, not bond ratings or other through 12/16. Easy money. They have to. And with oil down and the Saudi's flooding the market, stability won't last long. Here's what I want to know....Gas tax or not? Will any significant dollars go to anything that resembles a bridge project? 7 cents? More?
AndyFromCB Posted January 15, 2015 Report Posted January 15, 2015 I'll take a Fed rate hike, not bond ratings or other through 12/16. Easy money. They have to. Why? Europe is about to join the circus too. $1K, no interest rate hike in April. How much for the 12/16 bet?
John Pleisse Posted January 15, 2015 Report Posted January 15, 2015 I won't take that because I don't welch and don't want to be on the hook for it. 12/16......brang it.
AndyFromCB Posted January 15, 2015 Report Posted January 15, 2015 I won't take that because I don't welch and don't want to be on the hook for it. 12/16......brang it. How about $100? Donation to other's favorite charity? So really, only $60 bucks...You could make write a check to, I don't know, "Concerned Women for America Pro Life" or something else like that. Would that not be worth it? You get a copy of the cancelled check.
John Pleisse Posted January 15, 2015 Report Posted January 15, 2015 They almost did yesterday.........it gave the markets some nice action. 12/16...bet...We disagree politically. If I took that (4/15) bet, I'd have to stroke a check to the ACLU or some godforsaken liberal cause. But.....1/10th of % before April 30th? You'll never hear the end of it.
AndyFromCB Posted January 15, 2015 Report Posted January 15, 2015 ACLU, liberal, maybe, but at least not lazy. Defending 9 amendments instead of just one is a lot of work.
AndyFromCB Posted January 15, 2015 Report Posted January 15, 2015 Here is another one for your, Alex. Kind of on a photo upload kick today. About another's day walk from where the first photo was taken. Ain't America grand. This is well above tree line.
