  1. A month after this came out, my MSE was found airworthy for the first time!
  2. Any updates yet? Finally got the plane, now I need the LEDs!
  3. Awesome! How much, with shipping to CA, if you’re willing to part with it?
  4. Interesting... well I was going off of this archived version of the flight test reports (which sadly appear to have been removed from the website): https://web.archive.org/web/20051102035718/http://www.mooneypilots.com/flight_test_reports.html Do you know when the J report was actually published? @bluehighwayflyer @N201MKTurbo @MooneyMitch
  5. Probably a long shot, but this is the issue with the M20J test flight report in it. Anyone have an old copy they're willing to part with?
  6. The cowling is a dead giveaway: definitely not a J.
  7. At least one Garmin G5 (or GI 275, or G3X Touch). The GMC 507 mode controller. 2-axis pitch and roll servos. (Pitch-trim and yaw damper servos are optional. If you don't get the trim servo, the display will prompt you to trim manually when the autopilot is engaged.) GAD 29 nav data adapter (not required with GI 275) to interface to the navigator. Not sure whether the 300XL is compatible or not. Am I missing anything?
  8. I now have four of these little actuators on both MIC buttons, IDENT, and CWS. Thanks, MooneySpace! However, the push-button for my speedbrakes is a slightly different (thinner) size, so this part doesn't fit. Has anyone tracked down the right cap for that?
  9. LASAR has a pre-buy checklist on its website. Available here.
  10. If you're leaving within the next couple days, make sure you dodge the presidential TFRs in Orange County, Las Vegas, Prescott, Phoenix, and Tucson.
  11. Hector made these awesome-looking control wheels. About 1 AMU. The whole interior will be going to him eventually.
  12. Try Maxwell too, if you haven't already.
  13. Send @jgarrison a case of his favorite beer in return for a 30-minute call, and you might have your answer.
  14. @Paul Ferraris Someone on BeechTalk listed one for $1000. https://www.beechtalk.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=44&t=187372
  15. Having Chicago nearby should help. Should be plenty of short connecting flights from KIND to KORD. Lafayette is also close enough to Chicago to make a one-way rental car or Amtrak a reasonable option.
  16. I just had dual G5s installed and the original King AI is gone. It did not need to be retained. Still have ASI, altimeter, VSI, and TC. My vacuum pump doesn't do anything now and will be removed at the next annual.
  17. I have two Prometheus Pro PAR36's going on soon (thanks @OSUAV8TER) and will have the current PAR36 landing light LEDs for sale afterward. Will post a PIREP once I've started using them.
  18. If you're wondering what that loud "whooshing" sound coming from Chicago is, have no fear. It's just Boeing's legal department drafting a waiver and release agreement.
  19. Aero Comfort
  20. Which specific part did you order? I checked and it turns out I'm missing mine too.
  21. Been a while since I looked at my invoice but $35k is probably a good rule of thumb, could be a bit more. I'm also adding a new nav/comm and audio panel at the same time, so I'm not certain what just the autopilot and (in my case) two G5s alone would be.
  22. Cellular versions of the Apple Watch have been available since 2017. It's a cheap add-on to your cellular plan (I think $10/mo) that will continue to provide connectivity to your watch even if you leave your phone at home. Anywhere your phone would work, the watch will work.
  23. However you can sign up for USAF's biweekly plan, to pay a little less interest.
  24. If I wasn't 2-3 years away from a glass panel upgrade I'd snap this up. Alas...
  25. Dorr has been great. Always responded promptly and like they care about my business. After closing, I got an unexpected envelope in the mail from them: a congratulatory note and a keychain with my new tail number. A nice touch.
