  1. Ransomware? Don't they know Mooney owners are a bunch of CBs?
  2. Хорошо сказано товарищ!
  3. Wilco!
  4. This is usually my approach also, but today I pulled the trigger on the brand-new Apple Watch Series 6. They earned it by adding O2, a feature I've hoped for ever since the original. With trade-in credit for my Series 5, it's only going to cost $250 out of pocket. No-brainer upgrade. The majority of my Apple gear was purchased either refurbished (same one-year warranty as new) or from Best Buy. (Why Best Buy? Because they're willing to negotiate and/or price-match.)
  5. That's definitely what they meant, I'm just having a little fun. I get a kick out of those cute little reports, since they're always glowing.
  6. "In-flight Report: 'This Mooney flew great back Kokomo from South Dakota! The engine ran very strong and trimmed out very well. I do not have any complaints with this aircraft!' Jon, Pilot" Guys, my POH is missing the "engine trim" section. Help!
  7. I like the shop and they've been pretty straight with me about everything. If I was keeping dual G5s permanently I probably would have pushed but since I'm planning a new panel anyway, it doesn't really matter.
  8. I was quoted an additional $4000+ just to flush mount dual G5s. The King KAP/KFC 150 AI and HSI leave large square holes in the panel so they would have to fabricate parts and spend more time to get the flush mount kit to work. I skipped it since I’m planning a G3X install in a few years anyway, which will involve cutting an entirely new panel. I’ll just have to live with protruding G5s until then. Would have looked better, but not $4000 better in my opinion.
  9. I was told the TOGA button has to be placed close to the throttle, so we're looking to repurpose CWS as a push-to-command button for activating Teligence.
  10. My KAP 150 has that little button too, but I can't remember if I have the plastic cap @carusoam mentioned. I think I would remember the experience of my finger getting impaled when pressing it, so I'm guessing it probably does.
  11. I don't have an F, but there's a set of new Rosens in a box waiting to be installed in my J.
  12. Still coming. This one is from the tail strobe, the others haven’t been removed yet.
  13. Reminds me of this listing. 1378 SNEW in 1979!
  14. You said you wanted subscription upgrades, like the plane is a mobile phone app. That is a maintenance service plan, almost like Piston Power. These are two entirely different things. Not sure how one can be an example of the other.
  15. Sounds like a recipe for impatient, angry subscribers and hurried, half-baked “upgrades.”
  16. So this is only about extending the existing 160 lb gross weight increase to more serial numbers, or raising the 2900 MGTOW for airplanes that already have it?
  17. Hope it goes well for all involved. Be well.
  18. The letter is very Web 1.0. But then again it's early days for the new owners, and hiring a graphic designer to render nice looking letters is farther down the list! I just hope they start innovating again and start selling a lot of airplanes. As a newly minted used Mooney owner myself, I'm looking forward to seeing if they follow through on engaging their ownership base.
  19. I really did not want to step on the guy's listing, because it looks like a nice plane. But I did think suggesting his competitors will kill you, when those planes aren't even listed for sale here, isn't really appropriate for this site, especially since the plane looks like it should be able to sell itself. I tried to make that point with humor and leave it at that, but he asked for more, so I told him. I really don't mind if it all gets deleted. Good luck selling your plane, and sorry you felt insulted by the feedback.
  20. It might be nice when praising the Kerrville workers to spell Kerrville correctly. It's misspelled twice. With that said, I hope they succeed!
  21. No I haven't, because people from all over the world frequent this board. Unless those planes are listed for sale here, no one here has any idea what other airplanes you're talking about. You're airing weird local grievances in front of an international audience. So if you want to sell your plane here, try having some respect for the knowledgeable buyers who come to this site.
  22. I've heard of the hard sell, but this is getting out of hand.
  23. Was it this photo or a different one?
  24. I, too, have been known to dramatically overspend in a dive. BT, DT.
