  1. @carusoam Very helpful, thanks! I did a search but only searched for "iPad" and didn't find exactly this. Soooo to sum up, all Mooneys are different, everyone is different, so options are unlimited? Cool... that narrows things down a bit. Actually it does help; as long as we find what works for us, then it works. It should be that easy for everything, right?
  2. Hello and Merry Christmas! My husband and I finally found a Mooney and are working to get it in the air. We got an iPad mini to use for ForeFlight and were wondering if anyone had a recommendation for a mounting bracket we could use for it. He's thinking of mounting on the yoke but is the window better? Any advice is appreciated.
  3. All great points!! I'm more familiar with mortgage financing, that's why I considered that first. But you nailed it with the repo comment (God forbid) especially in this crazy economy. Who knows what will happen next... Appreciate all your advice.
  4. True. We've been doing the standard deduction so not sure this would actually apply to us either. Good point.
  5. Didn't consider the tax deduction side of it - NICE. Thank you!!
  6. Ooooo THIS. Knew this could be a possibility for mortgage loans, but don't think I would have considered it a possibility here. Thanks!
  7. TOO FUNNY! All good advice, thank you! Appreciate your time.
  8. Hi all: My husband and I are about to upgrade to a Mooney (tbd). We were fortunate enough to have the cash to buy our current plane outright, but we will be financing the Mooney. This will be our first time financing so not sure which direction to turn. What are our best options? Is it better to do a 2nd mortgage if possible? Or use an aviation-specific lender? Would love recommendations for insurance companies as well. ALSO, if you happen to be in the market for a Piper Cherokee PA-28 140, hmu! Thanks in advance! Karen
