  1. yes, the wheel bottoms out in either direction
  2. One thing i've noticed about my birdy, starting to think i need rigging, she's usually trimmed full nose down or pretty close when straight and level with a passenger and bags. Anyone else?
  3. I've left it open, it's never popped open on its own
  4. I installed the Whelen Parmetheus Plus 46 in my E maybe 3 years ago, No complaints. Very Bright. I believe the newer version is even better
  5. sell the G5's to pay for a GI-275 and go with 2x gi-275
  6. I was told by one of the fuel tank specialist to just ignore it.
  7. so question, is this different from the gascolater on an E? Mine works just like the other fuel drains, insert fuel drainey cup get fuel
  8. Had this happen to me, dumb pilot guy didn't latch the door properly. I gave the guy a stern talking to 8). put her in a slight climb, reached over closed and latched the door. not a biggie
  9. i'm going with the single gi-275, seems so much cleaner and it's round.
  10. I really want it for my E( 52g ), the extra 30 gallons would be perfect for my texas to midwest mission; hate wasting time for fuel in memphis.
  11. wow, same here, my hanger is more expensive than gas for 100 hrs 500*12 = 6000 6 * 1000 = 6000 Sad, I'm now thinking of it that way
  12. I'm really enjoying my new T-Hangar, kinda bummed about not being allowed a TV though. The wife called it an aircraft Hilton
  13. woot, starting at about 43seconds
  14. I'm kinda bummed about the trutrak, was planning on an install this spring. On the brighter side, my box of tempest oil filters will be here in a few days 8)
  15. we had a great one today, too bad i was stuck at work.
  16. Brings back memories, i used to work for this company
  17. who cares, GA/FAA has only had 40+ years to do something, get on with it already
  18. Honestly, at this point, i've just given up on ever getting a sane flight plan. I've received as filed twice in 3 years. the last as filed, was two weeks ago knew -> ksgr, was re-routed while on climb out. given a new clearance 5 mins later, flew that for about 10 mins, then given direct, 15 mins later given a new clearance, then a star just prior to everyone giving up and being told to fly direct. I used to try entering the clearances given by ff or gp but realized, atleast down here, it just makes for more work. not saying it's bad, controllers down here seem to do everything to send you direct dest.
  19. they have really really good burgers.
  20. GP is about the same. export a copy to my personal cloud storage once or twice a year. feels safer than paper. I misplaced my original log book shortly after receiving the ppl, lost about 100hrs.
  21. if i had nice handwriting that might not be a bad idea. apply a clearcoat every so often, might look pretty good
  22. yes, it can. that being said, i mainly log using garmin pilot but I also still transcribe everything to my paper logbook out of habit. the rules don't specify a type of logbook, only what the entries contain; you could log on a paperbag if you wanted.
  23. Don't feel bad, Champion is behind on their auto filters also, purchased 2 or 3 filters for my cars mos ago just in case
  24. My "little" E has room for 21 gallons with 430 front, 300 rear, 50 baggage and 10 Rack.
