  1. I never board with baggage door open.
  2. I never close the baggage door without latching it. This has served me well so far. Results in numerous opening and closing...Oh, well.
  3. Way to fly the plane. Snoopy just wanted that crease fixed. Glad it is just a little repair. _ _ it happens...
  4. I like thrillers with happy endings...Now going to Today’s Flight for the why and mea culpa...?!
  5. Wouldn’t these units have a lot more value pulled and listed on EBay vs. $125 bucks?
  6. NOPE, runnin’ smooth down in the canyons.
  7. A “solution” looking for a problem... Cliff Notes: No interest
  8. 390ish Cylinders down to 360ish? Is this the temps that C’s commonly see? I do not ever see those temps in cruise in my E model. Is this the cowl or is this what “C’s” do for cylinder temps?
  9. Cliff at Falcon. Just renewed with Global. Flat to penny from 2017.
  10. See Ernie Els and Fred Couples...emulate. (Ya, I wish too) Regarding this thread creep: 1. Altitude is life. 2. Full power full rich gives max climb potential and max cooling using the fuel. 3. RPM at 2700 was designed to be flown there to reach TBO. Certified to do this. If you want to reduce power “messing around with throttle and prop” while in a critical phase of flight go ahead, but calling others names that are trying to help educate you on “dinosaur” (your word not mine) piloting methods should just result in reflection. I really don’t care how you fly your plane, but I do care and try to fly mine based on: Being fast. Efficient. Kind. Those are three traits that are good for engines and humans.
  11. One’s weasel is another’s paying what is owed or to quote (even when right). I would rather have my insurance with a solvent carrier that pays a legitimate claim that is owed under the policy vs. “a nice carrier” that is poorly rated because they are not financially strong. If I flew without a current medical and out of flight review currency I would expect to NOT have a claim paid...same as if I didn’t get a ferry permit. Your insurance carrier is a business. Read your insurance contract. Policy language does vary. You pay for what you get. A guy here thinks using a speech impediment to avoid law enforcement is amusing. Obstruction is what comes to mind. Knowingly deceiving. I know about the right to not self incriminate. Not aware of lying and obstructing as a means to evade as being “lawful”.
  12. Is that a....? Never mind
  13. Nice! I broke the 800 hour total time mark with my last journey...I hope kids enjoy reading through my log books some day...A LOT of events are mentioned over the years in the comments.
  14. My take is he did you a favor. You screwed the pooch and he alerted you so you could take action. What if you had flown and had a gear up while out of medical and without a current flight review? Send the guy a bottle and say “Thank you”.
  15. Calling those on list as they have available. .2AMUish on price for servo.
  16. The panel shot shows the electric gear retract handle. Still hydraulic flaps though. A lot of green spent to achieve that panel.
  17. Space Suit required? I would love to see that fly as well as see “it” in person. Ballistic Missile vs. Missile? Seth, what do you think?
  18. Let the tails of speed begin. What fuel flow did you fly in C?
  19. Had the best Mooney flying today...The FREE kind. Co-Owner bought a new vehicle down by St. Louis so I ferried him down. Nice to be right seat enjoying “the ride” on the way down. 9500 had a nice push seeing 150+ knots at 9.5GPH. Did flight in 1.5. My return (Photo is of Illinois River) was at 6500’ doing 140knots. Same 1.5. I didn’t have climb and go full throttle all the way down to 2000 for time equalizer I guess. A great day to be up in the Midwest.
  20. We have almost that exact center stack. Just upgraded our Narco to a Garmin ADSB compliant Transponder. I have never seen a money with ignition there...or that type of Master. What is the story on that?
  21. I think it is a painted floor. A nice shiny floor, but still a floor. Have fun ogling everybody. Funny.
  22. Combat Aviation Museum Payne Field. Definitely should be on the list. Paul Allen has assembled a wonderful fleet of aviation and tanks etc. German WWII is very well represented. On my bucket list.
  23. +1 (and do the cowl) Thumbs up to that.
  24. It is a testament to his being a CB. Put the freaking 100 million in a bank, but for heaven’s sakes! Fly coach with family when you need not do so based on your having the means to afford an upgrade? To be comfortable rather than not? This is a testament alright. It has everything to do with having a great idea and cashing in on it for what purpose? I guess the answer is to have a ridiculously large amount of money sitting in a bank or invested so you can fly coach and not enjoy it with family. Yawn. (Not what I would aspire to emulate) Signed: somebody that despises coach and commercial aviation and is a CB that flies Allegant Airlines (when he flies) because he does not have over $100M (keep removing zeros...) in the bank.
  25. +1, but advertising does say “Pure brewed in God’s country”...so at least he has that going for him. And “Kreusening”
