  1. Carrier is “earning that premium” through the year. Yes, you should receive a credit for months that were not earned with coverage.
  2. Naw, just you.
  3. Triple down. Do I hear a quad? Going once....Going Twice... (Here it comes). Truly testing my never wish bad things on anyone disposition...
  4. +1 These don’t have to occur from pilot error. Distractions do happen with VERY expensive consequences. Those that only use a check list and super pilot skill...Good luck with that. Last time this came up I was ripped on for the investment by a member on this site. I chuckle in his general direction. Don’t be that guy. <than .5AMU plus install and you get the added benefit of a verbal pre-stall warning. This is as much a no-brainer as a shoulder strap for front seats an engine and CO monitor.
  5. Having trouble finding a Basic Med Doc. Liked the idea of asking my 3rd class doc to sign. He wouldn’t. I want not because of cost so much, but the hassle of every two years vs. four years on Basic Med. The pilot is “self certifying” with every flight so buck literally and figuratively stops there, but fear of the unknown is a powerful thing and they can STILL GET SUED. Need some case law out there to show them it is “safe” to certify basic med. I wish AOPA would provide a list of docs by larger City that will do Basic Med. Is there such a thing? Not happy that my 3rd class doc won’t do it. Kind of bullshit in my opinion. I think I am going in to have a face to face on that decision vs. hearing from a nurse his position. I will pass on the “why” of it when I have more information...
  6. I know the “temp” controls are a huge focus, but I would like to get some solid Power/Performance at 5500 and 7500 before and after tests to know what the speed increase is with the Sabre cowl. My order of importance is: Faster/Cooler/Prettier. Standing by for rating. Right now it is: ?/?/Wowza...
  7. Bob, my ‘66 has doghouse. No temp/cooling issues, but your new baffles and cowl look beautiful. Looking forward to hearing about your initial flights and seeing pics post paint. You have a beautiful plane. Enjoy!
  8. You know what I like better about the UK than the US? Nothing, but you don’t hear me telling how great we are and what a mess your little kingdom is every other post...Oh Ya, you know I really do love you...but your fill in blank is shite...Talk the friggin’ hand.
  9. I bet you were...
  10. Hey 52k, on behalf of the responses...I apologize. Did you get an answer that is helpful?
  11. My CFI lost his due to a recent hanger fire....I had not gotten my ride in it yet. Less likely for that to happen. Cause: Power strip gone bad.
  12. Surprises? We shall see as another episode of annuals in Mooneyland continues after these brief commercial messages...
  13. My squak-free bird in for annual. Next year gear donuts. This year: Lubricate, inspect, lubricate, inspect....wash, rinse, repeat.
  14. Is it 500 total time on engine and airframe? Is it 500 hours on the current engine since overhaul? If this is 500 hours on a ‘66 engine I would have a lot of concerns. I would price it taking into account a $35k engine overhaul soon. Avionics is meh. As stated no engine monitor or auto-pilot and the shotgun panel and old ADF on co-pilot is a boat anchor. You will be doing some avionics work. Interior seat color is O.K., but dated (which is a minor point as you can do yourself)...BUT it is dated. I would wonder about seals on flaps/brakes/tank sealant and of course tube/spar and wing corrosion. I think the plane is priced HIGH based on stated and unknowns of a recent gear-up... My 2cents. It is nicer than my Mooney-pit ‘66 when I found her 15 years ago. Good luck as you pursue your Vintage E. My serial number is 1120.
  15. Great story Ross. Wow, your dad did have some wonderful E types. That hits me in the gut as I really do NOT want to sell my 987, but it can not remain in the small stable...sigh. We had a lot of fun together and Kel and I have some fond memories. Your dad definitely sowed the car guy seed. I am doing the same Bike is next when the snow stops flying...
  16. 2012 Stock 997.2 Ironman. Long story...Still swing’n. Thanks for “props”. We are going to put lots of miles on each other.
  17. Not with my plane, but my new favorite ride when not in my Mooney or, well you know
  18. New my reply wasn’t rocket-science. I saw no other epiphanies in the prose...
  19. By NOT needing to go anywhere by Mooney on any given date. If weather doesn’t permit...meh no worries. That is how I navigate winter weather.
  20. They refurbished multiple components for my system. They completed replacement of servos/tubing and installation of Altitude Hold unit in my plane. The new owner would continue to likely get significant refurb and installation business as well as sales from new tubing and connectors. I love my Brittain system and hope service/support remains viable.
  21. Isn’t somebody doing great being a rental king in California? Certainly the pittance of income and hassle of a “video” (mailing and collecting) vs. just putting it out on You Tube to help many and drum up customers makes more sense?
  22. I wish you would stop posting this technique.
  23. Leaking by those that are sworn to not leak. Wow, there is something new... Certainly similar to the heinous crime of pumping gas from a hose in a pump after pump is turned off. Thug life.
  24. I take exception to the majority of your post. Are “Rich people” the principle drug users in the U.S. or does drug use/addiction cross over lines of race, gender, age, socio economic background? Tact. Get some. What about rich people that have pain not from sports? What about...oh, never mind.
