  1. I can learn to weld, that might be a fun project.
  2. Don- Did you run a long USB cord back there or is there a 12v plug in the back somewhere? I'm weighing my options to "install" ours back there but a long USB cable I fear might lose too much power.
  3. if we took delivery dec 1 can we claim the plane as xmas? lol
  4. about $250 for a small tee we're in a not private tee, think of a row of tee hangars but without walls inside. It sucks but we were lucky to get it and it beats the alternative. Note the snow IN the hangar. Trailer is the neighbor, he has a RV under construction there, but mostly there's a lot of junk in other people's spots.
  5. sorry, they don't look any better than the ones on shapeways or whatever that site is.
  6. A new tow bar and o2 servicing stuff
  7. I don't know how it is on that motor, but on my Honda lawnmower the dipstick is checked while unscrewed, not when it's bottomed out. Maybe that one is the same way and it read OK but was actually high on oil?
  8. Big time. No sales tax.
  9. it's like, ten dollars a year in CO and like $50 to form an LLC. it's not my first rodeo
  10. maybe a bad electrical connection that gets worse in the cold?
  11. Hell, if anyone wants a quarter share in a gorgeous all glass rocket with dual aspens, jpi 900, ifd540, new interior and great paint in Denver hit me up. Problem is you need some experience under your belt. The buy in is very low for what you get.
  12. Good luck with that. It's not like I have any QUALIFIED pilots interested in buying the last partner spot in our group beating down my door, let alone people in differing backgrounds.
  13. We pay 200 each a month for fixed costs and 90/hr dry for mx fund. We protect the engine reserve and won't go below our required engine fund. We leave the airplane at 25 gallons a side per the wing gauges. Form an llc Write an operating agreement Agreement spells out all of this, llc owns airplane, members own shares in the llc. I think I offered to send copies of the documents last time this was asked.
  14. Well, I don't have one to send you now. I sent all I had to the other guy.
  15. only if you're trying to take off from it.
  16. I can tell you what doesn't work, a wifi hotspot and a tp link or bekin smart outlet. they cease to function in the cold. I have gone back to my knockoff switchbox.
  17. Plus you can stand in front of the nose upright, so you can see better. Not bent over like our power tow.
  18. studded tires?
  19. rocket isn't a bravo, and ours runs beautifully LOP. I'm still not buying your fuel flow and speed at that altitude. Our 231 will not run LOP nor would I want to with that intake.
  20. I can probably manage it. I thought I had the installation instructions in the hangar, but I don't. I'll see if I have them here, it'd sure be nice to have them. The seal has an orientation.
  21. I feel like I could build that and sell it for 1/4th the price.
  22. came in to ask why the used 330ex instead of the kt74, I think they're similarly priced, and if he's going to get a waas gps anyway why not
  23. I sent a section of seal to Mark89114 and he was going to look into it. Maybe he'll get something going, I dunno. I don't need one so I don't really have a dog in the fight.
  24. Yeah, they do. However I'm not sure I'd feel too great about one relieving itself in the back of the plane either. I guess we're pretty drafty so it might not matter.
  25. So, side question, how safe are those one pounders at altitude? I have left them behind before because I wasn't sure. I saw some posts on back country pilot that indicated they were OK but those guys aren't in the flight levels. I have found them at just about every grocery store or Walmart I have been to, but they're expensive. Maybe it's not worth it.
