I was on an SI for awhile. Diet and exercise cleared the "condition" up, but I still have to fill out the stupid form every year and get my doc to sign it saying I'm OK. I'll continue on the 3rd class because I like to fly in class A occasionally, but I suspect if I were in your shoes I'd do the same and let the 3rd class go.

stick your hand out the window at 180 indicated (ignoring the placard...) and you tell me. the more stuff I look at on how these things are built, the less I want to fly GA. LoL.

I think my main beef is they're only connected to whatever gauge that wing skin is, it doesn't seem very strong, especially to deploy them at high speed cruise. I figured they'd at least butt up against the spar, they don't.

to be honest, I'm more concerned about using them at high speed, as they're only connected to the airframe via the screws at the top and two small bolts at the bottom, and only to the wing skin.

anyone have a source for a new L/R/OFF placard for a J/k? Ours is shot, no paint left. I looked at higher graphics and moody aero, but they seem to only sell full kits and I just need the one, plus pour metal backing is bent up so I'd kind of like a factory style I guess?

IIRC on our precise flights they're as you say, no limitations. I have landed with them out, inadvertently. I don't remember noting anything unusual, demonstrated by the fact that I forgot to stow them and didn't notice.

thanks! Guess if I'm gonna truck all the way from CO to FL I might as well fly to the bahamas too while I'm there. Or Cuba or Jamaica.

problem is getting access, only a couple rental properties on the island are airport authority members, and unless you're a guest of a member you can't use the runway. Also I wouldn't put our rocket down there, there's no way.

we're missing the glass on our o2 gauge anyway, so if I can find a NOS gauge I'll just buy it and replace it when I replace the cable. I guess while I'm there I can replace the line too but I doubt it's the issue.

I'm talking about the high pressure supply line o-ring. I specifically said "high pressure line"? Are we talking about the same thing? The tank was pressure tested in September, so that was disconnected.
