  1. Troutdale or troutville?
  2. Lots of stuff, mostly labor though. New pucks, New fuel selector, install a new tit gauge, I can't remember what all else. They do know their stuff though.
  3. Yeah, however the guy that runs the shop has said "it's my job to keep the guys billing hours" there's thorough, then there's looking to bill hours.
  4. Hold on to your wallet though. Last annual they did for us was 18k
  5. Arapahoe aero is pretty good, but they're very expensive and will find every little thing.
  6. I have some weather seal from aircraftdoorseals.com in the hangar, I can send you a foot.
  7. Almost all of the wings file altrvs for deployments. They're completely unnecessary. I'm well aware how sua airspace works, thanks. And no, the faa doesn't "take it away" it's a very lengthy process and usually only if it hasn't been used in a decade or so. The airspace requests go through sams or maid, depending ding which side you're on and the times of eligibility and advance notice are per loa.
  8. Basically you create an llc, the llc owns the plane. The operating agreement outlines the ownership percentages and how members come in and out of the group. That is your contract. I can send you a copy of ours, it's quite comprehensive.
  9. Doesn't sound like you want a partner. Sounds like you want to call the shots, take their money, and kick them out when you're done with them.
  10. If he hasn't, I have one I don't use also.
  11. the fighters rarely go up high. They hang out at 240-260 usually.
  12. this has nothing to do with flying a mooney. it has to do with wasting a lot of resources used to process an antiquated concept.
  13. Just stop with the useless ALTRVs, file and fly and random refuel. You don't need an ALTRV. They're outdated and you don't follow the route anyway, cancelling the ALTRV as soon as you depart the filed route or altitudes. Most fighters and b2's are UHF, the controller should turn off the VHF transmitters when broadcasting to a UHF, most don't, so you'll usually hear one side of the convo. Military callsigns are easy to pick out. If you hear "death one one" or "honeybadger tree four" etc. Something like reach five five will be VHF.
  14. when I renewed my CFI, AOPA had a good video from a 182 or similar showing what it looks like to get intercepted. I'm sure george can point us to it if it's available anywhere else
  15. time for the PBOR ver 3.0 $20 isn't even a half hour of fuel. I wouldn't get too worked up over a kid making $10 an hour doing what he's told.
  16. I also have been fascinated with this project. I'm disappointed it isn't more popular.
  17. You're on a Mooney forum, so you know what answer you're going to get. I had a 182. It was reliable, cheap to maintain, and gave me no headaches. It's a jack of all trades, master of none. It's OK for cross countries, it's OK for hauling weight and people, it's great for local flying. I hated it.
  18. It might, that's a good idea. I wonder how they'll hold up in the sun though?
  19. I offered. I'd take 17k for a 25% share right now, actually. If it's worth what they say it is, they'll make money. However, at 89k there isn't really another comparable 231 with an intercooler/wastegateand similar SMOH, I think at this point it's a demand problem.
  20. We looked at a rocket conversion that had the power chart printed on the back of the pilots visor. I thought that was pretty handy. Does anyone know anyone that does that? I'd like to do the same.
  21. If someone came along with 80k we'd probably take it. It's not so easy when I have partners that think it's worth more than it is.
  22. I saw a balloon 2 weeks ago at 17k. Go figure.
  23. I remember the weather those days along the front range of Colorado. I needed to take the wife to see an ailing family member in the Pacific nw and refused the trip because of those storms and the associated icing. I could have topped it, but the freezing level was such I wasn't certain I could fly the approach clear of ice.
  24. Price drop
  25. What you need... Is a k model. Specifically ours.
