  1. So... you could in theory use your stratus/ipad/whatever to "navigate" enroute by asking for direct wherever you're going and asking for an assigned heading to get there as a /a or whatever you non /g people file.
  2. I read today they found a survivor with 90% of her body covered in 3rd degree burns. That's awful.
  3. Used for our 430w we no longer have. $50 shipped?
  4. don't know what to tell you, I have made probably 8 copies and every single one worked. Try an actual locksmith, if you can find one.
  5. Lasar said you don't need to remove the loops to jack the plane. I asked because ours went missing.
  6. our keys are access number 80 blanks. All ours are copies, no originals. The locks are so loose I don't think it's really picky about an accurate cut. I do it myself at home depot (easier than waiting for someone to help) I've heard they only used about 5 patterns from the factory.
  7. 22 inches and 2300rpm puts me about 110. Flaps up until landing assured. Gear out at faf.
  8. it's the way my brain works, rather than think pitch down/pitch up when the flap lever goes down the trim goes the same way, back. When the flaps come up, the trim goes forward, same direction.... sort of.
  9. I just said it backwards.
  10. It's not limited to the rocket. Every mid body mooney I've ever been in pitches with flap change.
  11. Had an angel flight up to MT this am. Two ladies. Took the front right seat out and put them in the back with a blanket to try and keep them warm. Not much heat at -10F to 0F. 388NM each way direct. Left at 0730 and was back at the home airport by 1230. Flew up at 140 and back at 190, should have went to 210. Oh well. Still a nice little push with some tail winds and not much penalty heading out, which was nice. Half hour or 45 minutes of actual, no ice. Too cold. It was so damn cold in there I couldn't eat my cliff bar snack. It was too hard to chew. -20F on the JPI at FL190. Had to keep my pen in front of the floor vent to keep it working.
  12. shocking, isn't it. I just lead config changes with some trim. Flaps up, trim down, flaps down, trim up.
  13. I personally find the mooney brakes to be mostly garbage, but ours is a heavy pig.
  14. Based on what they dinged my card for, I'm not even sure he charged me for the parts. If he did it wasn't much. Now, if I only knew where they went...
  15. I notice some pitch moment, but not as bad as the flaps.
  16. I think they're already held in pretty high regard around here, but they really went out of their way for me today. Partner wants to take the plane somewhere wednesday, today I noticed our tie downs went missing. Called LASAR at about 2 their time and asked if there was any way they could overnight a set, he said he was backed up on orders but he'd try. By 4 their time my box was on the way, already picked up. They really did me a solid.
  17. You could probably just out a cap full of bleach in it and leave it pretty much permanently
  18. It's more than one. And again, doxxing.
  19. Actually the worst of it is doxxing someone. If the powers that be cared about their members at all that would be grounds for removal. Immediately.
  20. Why do you feel the need to repeatedly act hostile towards members? And more importantly, why are you allowed to and sell your wares around here?
  21. I'd be very surprised if from a 60 plus degree angle that anyone could tell the difference between lined up on a runway vs a taxiway 100 feet away.
  22. I don't get it. Both runways look like runways to me and the taxiway is missing a couple important things, like runway numbers...and white stripes.. and the chevrons are a big clue. Yeah, I get it that the jet was camped right where the numbers would be if it was a runway, but it all seems obvious.
  23. no thanks KDRO 231653Z AUTO 25020G28KT 10SM CLR M01/M07 A2968 RMK AO2 PK WND 25028/1637 SLP044 T10111072 also moderate at 200 SW of DRO
  24. moderate at 180 and 240 across CO and I'd imagine moderate or better wave. Severe at 170 in NW CO. https://www.aviationweather.gov/airep/plot?region=US&type=turb&date=
