  1. It’s labeled “engine” under the landing gear lever along with other annunciation lights.
  2. Check your math, your EW should be around 1730.
  3. Wow, you must think Js are pigs if top is 939? I’d expect most were shipped from the factory close to 1000lbs, except for maybe the years 82-86 when they were getting heavier and before the increase of MGW to 2900lbs
  4. Try logging out and then login again.
  5. I always use split mode, I arrange it so the flight panel would be centered on the yoke. I wanted the G3X as high as possible to minimize head movement. I also arrange it so everything I commonly interact with is in easy reach of my right hand. P.S. Unlike Lee, I did crop out my legs. :-)
  6. I see no reason to go with the 7” as a single primary display. Same money for installation as the 10”. I saved money and panel space by going with the GTN 650 and adding a Aera 660. I buy the onepak DB package to get updates for the Aera, GTN, and G3X.
  7. You can just paint the rounded corners.
  8. I had a 76 Corolla, SR5 if I recall correctly, I don’t remember having any issues.
  9. Trick question, Antarctica.
  10. It’s for experimentals only, which brings up the question, has anyone been able to use experimental parts in a certified aircraft, especially for critical applications?
  11. Same position as Don, but I use a C clamp mounted to the edge of the glare shield, can just see it at the edge of the pix:
  12. FWIW, Spruce shows B&C not in stock, but SkyTeks are. Anyone have firsthand experience with them?
  13. This brings up a couple of questions: 1.How did they can access and can you do anything about it? 2.Id inspect everything carefully, wires they chewed the insulation off, corroded metal, and where was their bathroom? 3.Did the mouse die of old age or something else and can this something else be 100LL, hydraulic brake fluid, etc?
  14. I think FISB is ground stations only, satellites are for GPS. Any chance a ground station in your area is down. Traffic can come from ground stations (1090 to 978 retransmissions), but also directly by receiving other planes transponders. So you could still see traffic and no weather if there’s no ground stations transmitting.
  15. An engine monitor can save you money. Ask a AP to take a look at your engine because it doesn’t sound right is going to be a lot more expensive than asking him to look at a specific cylinder because you probably have a clogging injector.
  16. I believe the first certified versions only supported 1 source, support for 2 came later.
  17. He’s at the end of descent to get under the shelf, and it’s in mph.
  18. The G5 can drive the GFC 500, can the 275?
  19. So what happened to the missing post, the one with the information in it?
  20. The G5s stick out more than the radio stack, maybe a 1/2 inch, and the other 3 of the 5 instruments are flush mounted. If you ever go full digital with flat panel screen you’ll need to flush mount it.
  21. The common Zeftronics 15300 is, open it up there’s a pot you can adjust with a screwdriver.
  22. I don’t think that’s correct and would have it adjusted. This picture of me in cruise, noticed the trim position.
  23. Yeah, thanks, but I meant the gray conduit at the top.
  24. I don’t know where he heard that, my fiberglass one is a negligible difference of W&B according to STC and is very light weight. Probably the 100 screws that are removed weigh almost as much.
  25. In that case, should not affect the magnetometer.
