  1. It's a square piece of plexiglass. Remove the plastic on top. My indicator piece was broken. I made a new indicator pieces and used a vinyl printer to make the green indicator.
  2. No experience with them but I am think a call to Autopilots Central in Tulsa may be a good step.
  3. I am consistently surprised how easy a tub of $2.00 Goop that you can get at Homer dan will cut through everything that ends up on a plane.
  4. Start with the simple stuff. Belt tension. Then go to the wiring. Maybe even have a new wiring harness made.... One thing I learned is fly to the most options. Emergency is good because you get priority handling. Good outcome. You passed the test.

  6. You could take the case bolts out around the leak and very small amount of Permatex #3 in the bolt hole. I had one mechanic suggest this and one mechanic think it not a good idea. But it stopped leaking at the case half seam.

  13. something happened along the 1990s to the 2000s to the cam and lifters.... Some EPA reg was followed or someone retired and then a bad batch came along and caused some spensive failures.
  14. If it is old. 5606 is good down to -65F. Every 5 years the fluid should be replaced. Check the logs to see when it was done last.

  17. yes. Snow and stuff can jam up the calipers. The calipers slide along rails and should be cleaned and lightly lubed.

  19. Are you sure that is steam? and not oil vapor?

  22. That's why I did not say never. And like you it was a single CB He is describing multiple issues. Now I doubt it is the master switch as that would just make the master relay cycle if it were bad. I would be looking more at the Radio master relay since pretty sure they are underrated.
  23. Very rare condition for a circuit breaker. They are almost always binary.
  24. so if the interior panel is not drilled bigger than the screw, the screw will pull it away and leave a gap between panels. You could drill the interior panel. Or use some aluminum tape to seal the gap between the panels and provide some clamping so the screw does not pull the panels apart.
  25. can't happen. Tow bar never leaves the hand when out of the plane. luggage hatch is always locked when down. But ya it has some mysterious wrinkles along the hinge.
