  1. Happy new year! I keep threatening to get my commercial and multi maybe this will be the year. To 2016!!
  2. How do you do it?
  3. Those prop blades are bent straight back. Doesn't look like he was under power.
  4. Very tragic! Thank god for the boy surviving.
  5. It's a cost of 2 gallons of AV gas for no adds! In a C it's about 15 minutes of entertainment, a J about 13.3 minutes and in my S about 9.6 minutes (Of course I cover a lot more ground but that's a different subject). I have spent a lot more minutes on MooneySpace. Not that I'm advocating a higher donation:)
  6. I would but my plane looks like a Garmin showroom already, Peter Garmin would be proud! Someone should buy it because they are an awesome box!! Nice correction BTW.
  7. I think these days the engineers will input the design constraints into the computer and then the computer will spit out a Cirrus design. I'm just happy it have a V tail on it:)
  8. Ouch, that looks expensive! Good thing the 10th was decided on. Looking forward to seeing/meeting everyone.
  9. My big fear was that something new came out to replace the 650, luckily not! A coma and a dollar sign would go a long ways in that title:)
  10. Not that there's anything wrong with being transgender either!
  11. Merry Christmas!
  12. Good idea! Done deal.
  13. Mistress Moydehr
  14. I think I know the owner of this plane,is this him?
  15. Then again it could be short for Victoria and Alison.
  16. Not to offend any female Vic or Al's out there.
  17. Aren't they supposed to be female names?
  18. 310hp and A/C, life is good! A/C has been a game changer for me since I fly a lot in the hot weather. If you don't fly above 18K you will have equivalent/similar to K performance up high and the advantages of excess hp down low all with the simplicity of a NA engine.
  19. Congratulation Jon! Bring that new bird to the Mooney get together and show her off. http://mooneyspace.com/topic/17236-west-coast-mooney-2016-get-together/#comment-247477
  20. Anybody know a good Taco truck that could come to the field:)?
  21. It has been a bad year for Beech aircraft crash statistics. As far as quality both seem well above P and C and not far from each other. I have been involved in off road racing and its laughable the comparison in roll cages between plane and cars. I will say that the car cages are meant to be reused whereas I think our planes where intended to be one shot Jonny's, just a hunch. Even though the Mooney roll cages are punie in comparison the crash photos I have seen leads me to believe they did provide significant additional protection.
  22. The last time I took my compression I had 1 cylinder show a 52. I did another short ground run and it went back to 73 just like that. Was the spark plug wet with oil or just looked like it was burning oil? That plug might just not be firing and why an in flight mag check would be helpful.
  23. Well since this old thread was resurrected, I'll add that I had a couple 182's with bladders which where not considered as desirable as the wet wing. In both of my 182's I had to replace the bladders and it was expensive. I am now on my 2nd Mooney my 1st was 82 J had no leaks and original sealant. My current 99 S had been resealed by Weep no More about 7 years ago with no problems. There was a SB for the long bodies for enlarged rivet holes which my serial number was included. Both methods will fail over time, I prefer the wet wing.
