Joe Zuffoletto Posted June 6, 2013 Report Posted June 6, 2013 Flew the Acclaim from Denver to Cabo San Lucas this past Sunday, and as usual it was a fun and rewarding trip. Here's the first leg from Denver to El Paso: http://flightaware.com/live/flight/N3833T/history/20130602/1404Z/KAPA/KELP And the second leg from El Paso to Cabo: http://flightaware.com/live/flight/N3833T/history/20130602/1730Z/KELP/MMSL After leveling off and leaning the engine in Colorado, check the range lines on the GPS. Maybe next time I go to Cabo solo I'll try it nonstop. 2
kerry Posted June 6, 2013 Report Posted June 6, 2013 6 hrs. Nice. What was the price of fuel in Cabo?
thinwing Posted June 6, 2013 Report Posted June 6, 2013 5hrs 17 min to dotted line crossing cabo...great range..your right you could have done that nonstop or diverted to loreto or la paz if winds changed..
Joe Zuffoletto Posted June 6, 2013 Author Report Posted June 6, 2013 6 hrs. Nice. What was the price of fuel in Cabo? Haven't bought any yet (I'm still here), but when I came down in March it was $7.51 per gallon.
chrisk Posted June 7, 2013 Report Posted June 7, 2013 I've never flown in Mexico. Do you get direct or are you stuck on airways?
carusoam Posted June 7, 2013 Report Posted June 7, 2013 Joe, Any video coming from those legs? Best regards, -a-
Z W Posted June 7, 2013 Report Posted June 7, 2013 Very cool. Cabo just got added to my "someday" destination list. I didn't realize it was so close to El Paso.
Joe Zuffoletto Posted June 7, 2013 Author Report Posted June 7, 2013 I've never flown in Mexico. Do you get direct or are you stuck on airways? Below FL200 airways, but you sometimes get shortcuts if you ask. Above FL200 the shortcuts come easier, but not even airline pilots get direct (I've asked them). Joe, Any video coming from those legs? Best regards, -a- Maybe on the way back. My camera failed me (again) on the way down.
