Alan Fox Posted February 11, 2013 Report Posted February 11, 2013 Seriously , you are an ass, quote me correctly , I said no disrespect in my post to Jose' because I respect him..... Thanks for the spell check.....And I never insulted Mooneys.....If I didnt like them , I would'nt own one ......And stop talking about my tail...... Quote
Alan Fox Posted February 14, 2013 Report Posted February 14, 2013 Not quite 190 , well into the 175 180 range , When I used to fly a J model , it was about 145 to 150 , that is what I am using for a reference , I have a 64 S35 , supposedly the fastest of the N.A. Bonanzas..... I never run it that hard though , usually run it at about 160.... Quote
RJBrown Posted February 14, 2013 Report Posted February 14, 2013 According to Pilot freind the S35 cruises 8 knots faster than a J, not 30 but consider the source. At least he got that miserable slug's mug off our forum. Quote
Alan Fox Posted February 14, 2013 Report Posted February 14, 2013 Actually , its an S35 , not a V35 and this pic is for You RJ !!! Quote

Over on Beechtalk, one guy has an F33 with an IO-550R, and ROP flat out, it goes 180 KTAS. You will find a proper M20J to be a 155 knot cruising machine (ours is) , and some of the later ones are 160 perhaps 162 KTAS. I'd claim the average S35 is 15-20 knots faster than an average M20J. I can't buy 30 knots, no way. Quote
carusoam Posted February 15, 2013 Report Posted February 15, 2013 If I have to ask the price of an F33.... I get the feeling that I can't afford it. Fortunately IO550s are available in Mooneys. Missiles, Eagles, Ovations and Acclaims Mooneys with IO550s go faster than Bs with IO550s To go even faster, you will need to add a Hartzell TopProp turning 2700 rpm. Or take your acclaim to the flight levels and beyond! Or go in Mooney style and operate LOP! Just say'n.... -a- Quote
Alan Fox Posted February 15, 2013 Report Posted February 15, 2013 I have to settle this once and for all , The quote RJ is referring to is in the "ground hog day" post where I said that the Bonanza is 30 knots faster than my M20E at a given power setting , My E is not as fast as a J it is a 140 knot airplane , Im really getting tired of kicking this horse around with RJ .... also My Bo is not a 550 engine , it is a 520 ...285 horse ...... jetdriven Posted February 15, 2013 Report Posted February 15, 2013 You see , why would I waste my time running your N number , It doesnt matter who you are , because you are an idiot.......And my V tail piece of Garbage is still 30 knots faster than your airplane.....Im laughing right now.....At you not with you.... His piece of garbage is an MSE which is a 160 knot all-day airplane. a 285 horse S35 is a 175 maybe 178 knot machine. you might want to consider rigging your E model, they can match a J for the most part, 150-153 KTAS. With the J cowling they will smooth kick an M20J's ass to the curb. My friend's M20E with the J cowl will. I'm not hating, I love Bonanzas, but they like gas too much for me. Quote
Alan Fox Posted February 15, 2013 Report Posted February 15, 2013 I love anything with wings.....My E does have a J cowling , perhaps I just dont run it that hard , 24 square nets 140 on the airspeed indicator ... Maybe I am doing something wrong......Maybe it needs to be rigged.....Funny thing , it is not any faster than my B model was ,although it burns less fuel at that speed, but the B had every speed mod..... The E only has the SWTA Cowl mod...... Quote

You ARE such a liar GO HOME to your beloved Bonanza board and take you lies with you. You are so stupid you contradict yourself. Your quote above and below. You said your S35 was 30 knots faster than my MSE. Then you lied about what you said. I laughed when I posted my "At least he got that miserable slug's mug off our forum." The reason I laughed is because I told my friend here "I bet he immediately changes his picture back to the bonehead" Made me $20 Thanks! Quote

I was flogging it , I was 24 square 1500 to 2500 , and when I saw you getting close to my 3 I bumped it up to 2500 rpm 24 MP...... I was surprised you didnt overtake me , you must have been at a lower power setting......I was actually going to close in to a tight formation , but I didnt know what your comfort level was and we were on with atc so I couldnt call you..... The bonanza is stupid fast , at that power setting , I would have been almost 30 + knots faster... Quote
RJBrown Posted February 15, 2013 Report Posted February 15, 2013 It is impossible to argue with an idiot. I am sorry you are unarmed. You continue to argue even with yourself. I am done with you. I apologise to every one else. Quote
fantom Posted February 15, 2013 Report Posted February 15, 2013 Makes me and 'smiles look like a love affair ;-) My MSE is an easy 162-4 kts ROP and about 155 LOP. I too really like Bo's particularly TN ones. The V-35 I ride in was a 170-5 kt plane. It now has a 550G and gets close to 190 ROP. It burns so much fuel the owner refuses to install a totalizer. 1 Quote
Alan Fox Posted February 15, 2013 Report Posted February 15, 2013 Thats why I fly at a lower power setting......The fuel get upsetting... Quote
