andrew Posted November 14, 2012 Report Posted November 14, 2012 Does anyone have the height of the right avionics bay on an M20K handy? I'm currently separated by many miles from my aircraft and weighing some options for avionics work, but I'm not sure how much I can displace to the right avionics rack. Based on my pictures I've estimated about 9.3" of height available, but I was curious if anyone had a more accurate number. Quote
N601RX Posted November 14, 2012 Report Posted November 14, 2012 Front height is not only thing to consider. The depth is limited at the top of the stack. I'm not exactly sure of the year (around 80?), but at some point Mooney changed the geometry of the bar that runs down the center of the windshield so the depth isn't as much of an issue. Quote
jetdriven Posted November 14, 2012 Report Posted November 14, 2012 No on the right side you have full access behind. Looks like 8" of vertical access, perhaps one inch more. Its limited by the yoke shaft. Quote
