M20F Posted September 16, 2012 Report Posted September 16, 2012 My local distributor has stopped carrying Aeroshell 15W-50 any recommendations for online purchasing?
steeplev Posted September 16, 2012 Report Posted September 16, 2012 Linda Lou has some good prices on oil online. Check out lindaloupartsstore.com
PilotDerek Posted September 16, 2012 Report Posted September 16, 2012 I buy my oil from Aircraft Spruce online.
markm20b Posted September 16, 2012 Report Posted September 16, 2012 I purchase mine from Chief Aircraft http://www.chiefaircraft.com/ I'm located in Oregon and usually receive my package the day following my order with standard shipping. Mark
M20F Posted September 16, 2012 Author Report Posted September 16, 2012 Cheapest I have found thus far for those who are interested. http://oilstore.stores.yahoo.net/aerpisenoil.html
bnicolette Posted September 16, 2012 Report Posted September 16, 2012 I have never used the "Oilstore" listed above, but I have used them to get Spruce to price match. I usually wait to order from Spruce when I need multiple things and save on shipping costs, otherwise I would just order from the Oilstore.
1964-M20E Posted September 16, 2012 Report Posted September 16, 2012 Skygeek also has good prices. Just look around. I generally order two cases and a couple of filters at the same time.
garytex Posted September 16, 2012 Report Posted September 16, 2012 In the Austin area, some of the non-chain auto parts houses have been induced to carry airplane oils, available from their distributers-reasonable price, too.
David Mazer Posted September 17, 2012 Report Posted September 17, 2012 I've used the oilstore.com also and they were the best price after delivery. Often, I just buy the oil I think I'll need at an air show and save the shipping entirely.
jdrake Posted September 17, 2012 Report Posted September 17, 2012 I've been using oil-store.com (emphasis on the hyphen) for years. They consistently have excellent prices vis-a-vis the competition and service is exceptional. In fact, I had two cases delivered two weeks ago. One of the quarts in one of the cases had a loose cap and some of the contents spilled. I called them on the way to the airport last Saturday and they credited my card for a quart on Monday. They're based in PA, shipping time to my garage door is 3 days or less.
Mooney_Allegro Posted September 30, 2012 Report Posted September 30, 2012 I use Exxon Elite 20W-50 and buy from EliteEtc.com. Free shipping & they always offer a good discount for Sun n Fun & Oshkosh even if you don't attend.
