SARNorm Posted July 23 Report Posted July 23 I'm flying into Boise for a fishing trip next week. I have to leave the plane somewhere for five or six days. Any recommendations as to FBO's?
midlifeflyer Posted July 23 Report Posted July 23 This is very old information. Hopefully you’ll hear something more current. We flew into BOI 14 years ago. Overnight enroute to Coeur D’Alene from Denver. Two FBOs one closest to each of the parallel runways. Nothing prearranged: BOI was a planned enroute alternate. We landed on 28L, so we went to Western. Walked in wearing my AOPA cap. First words out of their mouth, “we give a discount to AOPA members.” They arranged a hotel over night, recommended restaurants for dinner and breakfast the next day, brought us there, and picked us up. One of the best FBO experiences we’ve ever had.
N201MKTurbo Posted July 23 Report Posted July 23 Last time I flew into the area, I landed at Nampa. no fees, cheap gas. 1
Aerodon Posted July 23 Report Posted July 23 Jackson Jet center is nice, but ask them where to go park and do it yourself if you don't like being towed. Aerodon 1
PT20J Posted July 23 Report Posted July 23 I’ve always had great service from Jackson and if you taxi to the self service pump, the gas price isn’t bad. They have a large parking area and if I park away from the FBO building closer to taxiway A they have never wanted to move the airplane. 1
Igor_U Posted July 24 Report Posted July 24 I vote for Jackson. Last time I used them, self serve pump was out of service so they fuel me from the truck at self serve price. FBO is nice.
