TGreen Posted January 29 Report Posted January 29 Just got my 2006 Ovation back after the engine overhaul. The "check gear" warning is not working. POH says it should sound if the gear is up and throttle position is 1/4 inch from idle. My mechanic thinks it is also airspeed dependent. Pretty sure I used to hear it at any airspeed if I pulled throttle to idle. Anyone know whether it is airspeed dependent? Quote
toto Posted January 29 Report Posted January 29 For what it’s worth, there are a bunch of threads about the gear warning system on MS, including one or two that are Ovation-specific https://www.google.com/search?q=mooney+gear+warning+site:mooneyspace.com Quote

Read them. Looks like the system has changed over time. Could not find an answer in these threads specific to the M20R 2006 Ovation. Quote

There’s a wiring schematic linked from this post, not sure how close this is to what you need. https://mooneyspace.com/topic/49761-stall-warning-speaker-specspart-number-ovationeagle/#findComment-880120 ETA: Here’s the link directly to the download https://mooneyspace.com/files/file/237-m20r-service-and-maintenance-manual-pn-man161-revision-b-may-2014/ Quote
PT20J Posted January 29 Report Posted January 29 This is completely described in the POH. The airspeed safety switch only will sound the horn if you attempt to raise the gear below about 60 KIAS. In flight, the horn will sound if you reduce the throttle to about 1/4" from closed with the gear up. 1 Quote
