jetdriven Posted May 16, 2012 Report Posted May 16, 2012 it looks like a nice, basic little airplane P&I look nice. An E model is a good airplane. All in all, it has a GPS that can take you anywhere and a KX-155 radio. But don't buy what you haven't seen and flown. Caveat emptor. No mention of the year of engine overhaul. If it was 20 years ago then add no value for it. Tank leaks? SB208 c/w? Does it have a "B" hub prop, or does it still require the AD eddy current inspection? Any aluminum or steel tube corrosion? I couldnt find damage history on the web, but as they say, don't just check the logs, check the airplane. Quote
carusoam Posted May 18, 2012 Report Posted May 18, 2012 That guy seems to specialize in old Mooneys and old Lexii...on ebay. I believe one of his previous Mooneys was a swimmer... Byron, do you remember? -a- Quote
jetdriven Posted May 18, 2012 Report Posted May 18, 2012 That guy you are thinking of was Jerry Pressley. This airplane is from that part of the country, though. Might it be associated with him? I would investigate thoroughly before sending any money. Quote
