The headliner in my M20K is in pretty bad shape.  I've tried all the avenues I know to find a new one, but keep coming up empty handed.  Vantage Plane Plastics has a headliner for a M20J that's the same year as mine and looks about the same.  Does anyone know if this is actually interchangeable with mine for an M20K?

Alternatively, does anyone know where I can get a headliner replacement actually made for my plane?

The J & K headliners for the same year should be identical.  You might verify with parts catalogs from each model.  Early J's like my '77 had the old pop-up scoop and round vents that don't work well, but later changed to the NACA scoop on the dorsal fin and eyeball vents in the headliner, which I believe all of the K's have.

Thank you, Scott, those were my thoughts, too. Mine does have the eyeball vents. I guess I should call Vantage and ask them - they may just know.

I've seen Hector at Aero Comfort take the worst of interior panels, repair them and cover them in ultraleather so they look like they are new from the factory. You might give him a call. If you find a new one from Vantage it will need to be trimmed.

I spoke with Hector recently but he didn't offer much hope.  Mine is in pretty poor condition with pieces that attach the headliner near the front windshield broken off.  I've had a couple of shops, including Hector, tell me it's too far gone to repair.

The shop that did my interior had to fix something like that.  The glued and screwed on a Kydex extension to bridge the gap.

Is that shop still doing interior work?  I'd be interested in at least visiting with them to get a quote.
