Found a small soft spot on wing walk near the top. about one half inch. Is  this indicative of a fuel leak here. 2008 M20 R ovation.

Most probably a leaking screw.  This is from 2020 by @N201MKTurbo

yes, dig hole, find screw, take out, clean thread with tap drill, find new screw, seal with tank sealant or permatex, apply wing walk compound, let dry for 2 days, if you really want it to look like new spray truck bed line over entire wing walk, be sure to cover adjacent areas of airplane

If you’re going to replace the factory screw just make sure the new screw is the same length, you definitely don’t want to replace it with a longer screw. I would just clean up the threads apply sealant  and reinstall.

Hi Everyone...thanks for the good advice.....ordered sealant...will just clean up factory screw

I had mine fixed a year or so again. But leaking again.  I think it was all the in and out of the plane for the avionics upgrade
