amekler Posted February 14, 2024 Report Posted February 14, 2024 I've had my 2000 Bravo for 2 months. In order to close the cabin door you have to pull down on it for the top front stationary pin to fit into the hole. Is this normal or should I have the door re-rigged. Alan N9127M Quote
PhateX1337 Posted February 14, 2024 Report Posted February 14, 2024 Get it looked at and potentially rerigged - not normal. Quote
mike_elliott Posted February 14, 2024 Report Posted February 14, 2024 It will be the effect of being slammed shut a few times. get it adjusted and always brief pax that you will secure the door. Did I mention groping is allowed in your own plane 1 Quote

Alan N9127M https://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/cspages/warningonlythepilotplacard.php?clickkey=6452 I have this just below the door handle and during the pre-flight briefing explain some of the horrible things that could happen to passengers that touch the door handle, or god forbid, slam the door . (Killing, maiming, losing a limb, etc . . . With me inflicting any of those . . . . at my option) Then I have another placard above the door saying DO NOT SLAM DOOR. - - - - - The pre-landing briefing includes a briefing about when we are coming in to land and are below 1000 feet - just two very simple rules, easy to remember: 1. The Golden Rule: Silence is Golden If for some reason Rule number one doesn't work, then we have the 2nd rule as a backup. . . 2. The Silver Rule: Duct Tape is Silver I suppose you could follow up with, "Which is better . . Gold or Silver? Quote
