I’m sure they are cheap too!

too bad I just replaced all my lights for led..

I’ve got Whelen Orion 650’s all around, so it’s not a slam dunk for me.

I put 650's on my J, and two years later ended up adding their first model of wing tips and don't regret it. It took about 30 minutes to sell my Orions for ~70% of retail at OSH at our Caravan tent.

I just saw these new Aveo tips over on a Mooney FB page. They’re not cheap, but sure are sexy!

They are definitely cool looking, but they aren’t new. N252AD was the first Mooney with them about 7 ? Years ago Paul had them installed by JD over at SWTA. @gsxrpilot

This product seems to have landing and recog lights?  I thought the existing conforma product just had nav/strobes -

Yes, the new tips also have rear facing recognition/strobe/tail illumination, plus all the forward facing lights.

The picture below shows the original version.

Same here, with the Whelen LED recog lights and landing/taxi lights.

Have to be a killer price for me to consider.

If I could get 75% retail for my Orion’s, I could be tempted to pull the trigger.

Back about 7 years ago they were +/-2500

The Facebook post says they should be the same price as the one for the Cessna cardinal, which run $4,725.

These new ones should drop-in for all of the modern long bodies.

I wish I had these new ones instead of the first-gen I installed!  Those were ~$2500 a couple of years ago for me.  This new version looks fantastic.

With the rate that people have hangar rash, accidents, etc., my guess is that the original Mooney wingtips should bring $750 each on the used market, which would help cut the price a little.

Hey sales guy.  If you have a new product that isn't on your website, you might want to mention what aircraft it fits in.  Like a M20M.  And price....

Does anyone from Aveo hang out here?

If not, we should invite them :)

I stopped by the Aveo booth at Sun ‘n Fun, with drool dripping from the corners of my mouth, hoping to see the new Mooney tips. Not so. They did have the tips for the Cardinal, but not the Mooney models. In talking to their Business Development and Marketing guy, Jakub Gregor, he said it will likely be into 2025 before we see anything to touch. These products are not their main business, so they get attention when it’s not consumed by more rewarding objectives.

Their website has some weirdly aggressive disclaimers on it, like any links to their website without prior written permission will be prosecuted. Hope you have lawyers on retainer!
