If nothing has changed, contact Allied Motion (the renamed manufacturer).  The contact info is below.  They will accept your motor and return a rebuilt that looks suspiciously like a brand new one.  Just make sure that you only send the motor, no brackets or accessories.

Anyone know the part number for the Cowl flap motor?

Apologies.  I should have sent you the Service Manual.  It has all the electrical parts.  It is also in the Download Section here on MS

Look at page 62.  It is called a Cowl Actuator..  Originally it was 880050-501 made by Globe.  Then they improved it to 880050-505.  And later the bearings were improved with needle bearings to 880050-513.  The M20K used the same geared motor actuator for the cowl flaps.  This has been discussed previously - see topic below.  @Larry above has the right info - Globe became Allied.

Thanks.... now I need to find one lol

This is one part that you don't want to find through a Mooney Service Center. New through Mooney they are 1000's of dollars. Send it to Allied (used to be Globe Motors) and it will be hundreds.

You might consider changing the name of your post to include cowl flap motor. It makes it easier for the next person who is searching for this information.

One thing to watch is, there are two slightly different ones.  One is 1 RPM, the other 4 RPM.  The 4 RPM moves the flap too fast to set where you want it, and it will back drive somewhat.  When mine was replaced, the bracket had obliterated the RPM info.  So of course, the first try was wrong. :D
