  1. Can anyone help me find this switch.
  2. I have the original sun visors in my 1988 M20J 205 Se but the clips are falling off. Is there an easy fix for this? Also I do have a new set of Rosen visors I was debating to install but I'm not sure how to remove the old ones and how to install the new ones as the new ones seem to have a larger screw. Any help would be appreciated.

I completed the IFR6 course about a year and a half ago and the staff was amazing. 5 days into the course I had a flap retraction issue that did not allow me to complete the last day and they were very accommodating on scheduling me the following month after I had the repair completed. I passed my course and have nothing but praise for the staff. It was very challenging with 10 hour days most of the time and then study time when I got back to the hotel. I would highly recommend them to anyone. AOPA has a review of their course and gave them a good review.
  4. Does anyone have a forflight profile on this aircraft?
  5. Just developed a new issue today.... As Im taking off my trim is in take Off position, as I climb I need to trim down a little to keep the nose from going to high... once I get to altitude in order to keep the plane level I have to trim almost all the way down at a cruise of 156kts. Its only after I slow the plane to below 120kts I can finally trim up a little.... Any thought to the issue... PS when set to takeoff the horizontal stabilizer is pitched in a slightly down position...
  6. Just curious to hear from anyone who is using a UGB engine monitor or other type of engine monitor what temps do you use for your high and low settings.

So went for a demo flight today (since the repair) and on my first landing I was was overly conscious about the plane pulling to the left and upon landing the plane again pulled slightly to the left but I corrected it quickly... I jumped a little to the right then down the center. Im thinking now that the rudder pedals are a lot more responsive in this plane to my F. It seems the slightest pressure left or right while landing will move the plane very quickly to one side or the other.... Is there a difference in the F model to the J that would cause this? or in the J 205 MSE model which is what I own? PS Second landing was even better and almost no pull to the left or right....
  8. Just had the plane jacked up and Nose gear was checked, nose to rudder alignment, tightness of nose gear, measurement from prop to ground and the only think that was found is that the brakes disk and pads were very worn and in need of replacing.
  9. It was a full annual and Ilm assuming they did...... but Im having a mechanic check the full underside again.

  13. I have always been full forward with the prop and around 13 on MP and just before touch down I pull the MP to idle.
  14. That's what has me so puzzled.... I don't think landing wise there sb anything different between the F and the J.... but if its the plane you would think it would happen on every landing....
  15. So I use to own an M20F and have over 250 hours in it and never had any issues landing it. Recently I purchased a M20J 205 and 2 out of 8 landings I've had the plane pulled hard left immediately upon landing and im struggling to figure out if its me or an intermittent issues with the aircraft. Any thoughts or ideas?

  20. I just closed on an M20J with the Aspen Evolution 2000 Max and a new Avidyne 440 and Im curious to hear from people with this combo the best bang for the buck when it comes to updating the databases.
  21. Im about to purchase an M20J 205 with an upgraded IO 390 engine and Im looking to see if anyone has a performance profile for this setup?
  22. Why is the useful load so low... are their bladders in the wings? If not when were they last sealed. What are the compressions on each of the cylinders? Have they been borescopes for pitting? Is it currently IFR Certified? What is her cruise and fuel burn?
  23. Does anyone know the part number for a 1075 Mooney M20F CHT temp probe???
