I recently bought a plane and used Savvy's prebuy as well.

The biggest thing they did was to find several shops near the aircraft and contact them about doing the prebuy.

I'm not unsatisfied, but not entirely confident I really got a good deal.  But it's like insurance...  Unless things go horribly wrong, it's a waste of money.  :)

Exactly.  If you didn't do the pre-buy, and things go horribly wrong, it's a mess that you have to take responsibility for.  On the other hand, if you got a pre-buy, and things go horribly wrong, you can take some small comfort knowing you did all you could do.

Also with Savvy, they will do a log review for free.  A good log review can save you a lot of time and money on a prebuy when there are other issues.
