haymak3r Posted December 5, 2022 Report Posted December 5, 2022 After a few months in the shop. My new instruments are up and running! Just a couple issues that I think will need to be addressed, but overall, I think it turned out ok. In the future, most likely will upgrade to the gfc-500 and remove the rest of the vacuum system. Not sure about a g3x, but maybe years down the road.. Will need to look in to a snubber for the map sensor in the EIS. it bounces around more than I would like. Before: After: -Chris 6 Quote

Before: After: -Chris Thats a common issue with the mp sensor. Snubber from omega is pretty cheap and easy. Some need them for oil and Fuel pressure too. Some not. 1 Quote
haymak3r Posted December 5, 2022 Author Report Posted December 5, 2022 That's what I've read as well. my fuel and oil pressure seem to be acceptable. 1 Quote

donkaye, MCFI Posted December 6, 2022 Report Posted December 6, 2022 I'd recommend getting rid of that useless CO detector and getting one the could actually save your life. 6 Quote

You are exactly right. And right next to it I have this:https://www.sportys.com/forensics-carbon-monoxide-detector.html I only recently got it. And put it in with this flight. I was sort of doing a test to see if there was anything being detected by it, and if there was, if the dot would change at all. Hopefully the test never finishes.. Quote
goodyFAB Posted December 25, 2022 Report Posted December 25, 2022 Where you planning on it taking 3 months to install the avionics ? I’m amazed at how long shops take to do this kind of work… this is my biggest fear, i want to go in for a similar setup to yours but I don’t wanna be down so long. Quote
