base698 Posted April 6, 2022 Report Posted April 6, 2022 Anyone have recommendations for annual/Mooney mechanic in NW Florida? Hopefully < 1 hr flight time from KPNS?
carusoam Posted April 7, 2022 Report Posted April 7, 2022 @mike_elliott is out that way… (FL Pan handle information request…) Mike usually gets the hard pitches thrown his way… this one should be more fun… -a-
mike_elliott Posted April 7, 2022 Report Posted April 7, 2022 Actually, I am closer to Key West than Pensacola logistically, however there are a few MS members around the area that could better give local info. For annuals, I would of course recommend Maxwell, or SWTA, both a bit further than the range requested. 1
LANCECASPER Posted April 7, 2022 Report Posted April 7, 2022 @bluehighwayflyer might have some recommendations.
carusoam Posted April 7, 2022 Report Posted April 7, 2022 Cole gets plenty of good reviews around here… a search on Joey Cole the person reveals…. https://mooneyspace.com/search/?&q=Joey Cole&quick=1&search_and_or=and&sortby=relevancy +1 for Don Maxwell and family…. Best regards, -a-
exM20K Posted April 7, 2022 Report Posted April 7, 2022 Maxwell set me up with a ferry pilot who has airline privileges. Easy, Peazy. Getting on their schedule may be less so but is worth a try. -dan
chriscalandro Posted April 13, 2022 Report Posted April 13, 2022 It’s insane to fly half way across the country for an annual. There are plenty of shops in FL more than capable of handling an annual. 1

ArtVandelay Posted April 13, 2022 Report Posted April 13, 2022 Daytona Aircraft Services is within your range.
Jay Bird Posted April 17, 2022 Report Posted April 17, 2022 +1 for Daytona Aircraft Services, Jake and Curt have a great group of mechanics and avionics techs with reasonable pricing. 1
