  1. Been using Daytona Aircraft Services for over 7 years. They have been maintaining my 201 for the past 4 years and my Sierra before that. Jake and Curt have been great to deal with!
  2. Circuit breaker toggle switches are the direction I went. They were relatively inexpensive.
  3. Old thread but I know a guy that has an uncle who’s neighbor has a friend in California with an early mid body M20 with the Cleveland 10-49 master cylinders. Allegedly, according to that guy, who I don’t know and have never met, Grove 670-50 master cylinders are a direct reproduction to the Cleveland 10-49. Same bore, stroke, length, fluid displacement, and port alignment as the Cleveland. I hear they perform quite well and are $379 each vs $2332 each for new versions of the 10-24D.

  5. I bought my 830 new in April of 2021 directly from JPI. Technically my avionics shop bought it directly from JPI but long story short the software was circa 2017. So my unit must have been new old stock. The software they sent me is dated May of 2022 in the code language and it does indeed have ECT and CHT displaced with 10 linear gauges displayed as well, have a look.
  6. JPI sent me the most current version of their software for the unit which was released in May of 2022. Appears to have fixed the glitch. If anyone wants the software update send me PM and I'll gladly share the files. From what I can tell the auto-dimming is much better and the EGT temps are indicated under the CHTs just above the bar graphs. From my original pictures, you can see only the CHTs were depicted above the bar graph.
  7. Jake at Daytona Aircraft Services has been great to work with. They have done my annuals for the past 6 years. Great shop, Mooney Service Center and full Avionics shop.
  8. That’s what I thought but the “F” is there regardless of the switch position, EGT, ALL or Fuel. Also the scan is acting a bit twitchy, it is cycling much faster that it used to. I set it to 9 second intervals but it did not make a difference. Going to give them a call on Monday.
  9. Anyone know what the “F” in the top right corner means? I flew the plane today for the first time in almost 3 months; I can’t say I ever remember seeing this before.
  10. +1 for Daytona Aircraft Services, Jake and Curt have a great group of mechanics and avionics techs with reasonable pricing.
  11. My circuit breaker switches are these http://www.steinair.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/POTTER-BRUMFIELD-W23-W31-CATALOG.pdf
  12. I don't have an Xi, but it is the same size as the legacy 750. 2x G5 EDM-830 GTN750 GFC500 GNC255 GTX345 GDL69A
  13. Anyone have any experience with the Pilot Proficiency Programs put on by Mooneysafety.com? There is one scheduled at KLAL at the end of the month. Not to be a CB but $850.00 would get a lot of time with a local CFI/CFII. Just looking for a PIREP from anyone who has taken the course in the past. Thanks
  14. I have my iPad mini off to the side on a ram ball mount with a pivot case. I don’t like the iPad on the yoke as I find it easier to read a little further away, plus I have a 660 on the yoke already. I do concede the yoke mount is the more traditional location but the iPad is secondary reference info only and with the iPad off to the side there is more room for my belly.
  15. I replaced all my switches with toggles when I had the the panel done earlier this year. Not traditional but way cheeper and easier to replace if they ever go bad.
  16. If you find it is the gauge there is one from a 1981 201 on eBay that was working just fine when it was removed from the aircraft for $20, I bet that guy would take $15 . It is more likely the probe or the wire to the probe that is the issue.
  17. Great choose of aircraft. I got my (81) J just over a year ago before prices got a little silly and I love it! Good luck with your search.
  18. Just checked my policy. My single limit liability is $1M. I do have passenger sub limit of $100k. Not smooth
  19. $130k hull, $1M smooth, old Republic $2036, 81 M20J 2,600 TT. Renewal 8/21
  20. Mine is being finished up next week. With a new panel being cut I took the opportunity to ditch the Kilxon switches in favor of toggle style circuit breaker switches. Picture quality is not great but I will have more next week.
  21. I’m new to Mooneyspace but have been flying 201s since the late 90s CFI/CFII - I now own a J model in the Florida Panhandle.
