toto Posted March 17, 2022 Report Posted March 17, 2022 This is a pretty interesting development for the future of some pretty exciting products. https://www.avweb.com/aviation-news/textron-to-acquire-pipistrel/ 2 1
Kmac Posted March 17, 2022 Report Posted March 17, 2022 Definitely will be following this. They didn't say anything about the Panthera. I wonder if they plan to sell the certified version in the US.
GeeBee Posted March 17, 2022 Report Posted March 17, 2022 Undoubtedly they see them as the future of light GA They screwed up the Corvallis, maybe they can get it right this time and have a Cirrus killer. One thing for sure, no interest in Mooney!
philiplane Posted March 17, 2022 Report Posted March 17, 2022 (edited) Textron is mostly interested in the electric airplane technology. Mooney should have stuck an electric motor out front and stuffed some batteries in every place possible. They could have joined the current frenzy of fools thinking that physics don't apply when you call your money-pit project "green." Edited March 17, 2022 by philiplane 2
hais Posted March 18, 2022 Report Posted March 18, 2022 Hopefully this doesn't mean the Panthera will follow the TTx
