mooneyflier Posted January 11, 2022 Report Posted January 11, 2022 (edited) Sold! I'm putting my Mooney up for sale. We've had a good run, but it's time to let someone else enjoy her as much as I have. It's hard for me to admit, but I'm getting up in years and have had some tough health challenges which are making it more difficult to continue pursuing my love for flying. I'm posting it here first in hopes that a Mooney enthusiast will be the proud new owner. I've been a member here for quite some time and have enjoyed being a part of the Mooney community. Our aircraft are very capable and are truly remarkable machines. I have the digital log books available to seriously interested prospective buyers. My contact number is listed on the attached spec. sheet. I will be monitoring my alerts here as well. If I fail to have much interest here after a few days, I will post it to the other normal sites. I do not need any help selling my aircraft, so please don't ask. At this time, the price is not negotiable. Thanks for taking a look! Tom Edited February 8, 2022 by mooneyflier Sold airplane 1 Quote

charheep Posted January 13, 2022 Report Posted January 13, 2022 Asking the dumb question here, how does the performance change with the turbos over a non-turbo E? Quote

Simple answer… You can get full power at altitude where the air resistance is lower… great for flying really fast… The limitation is, the power you can actually get is related to the turbo system… and how much HP you want to use is related to your wallet…. For high DA days flying in the mountains… T/O performance is much better…. You can achieve SL power, but the lift characteristics are like being at high altitudes… prop efficiency is a bit different as well… People that have their turbos enjoy them… they are kind of expensive to put on a plane…. They are expensive to use…. Because it is expensive to go faster using more power…. Go TN! Best regards, -a- Quote
