Side tone when transmitting

Flying home yesterday, I suddenly realized I had no side tone in my radio when transmitting. Any easy answers?

I sometimes feel like a total idiot. I have been flying over 25 years and I still have trouble with adjusting my radios. Getting the proper sounds going into my ears, the ears of my right seat passenger and (hopefully) ATC, is a challange if anyone has touched any knob in the system. Maybe someone needs to design a step by step process for getting everything set up, for dolts like me.

Which audio panel / Intercom do you have?

If it was working before, it should be sort of easy to get working again…

 

For some reason, my copilot can’t be heard when broadcasting from that side…   It never makes it to a squawk list….

Good luck finding out which setting to adjust…

Somebody familiar with your sound system set up procedure is probably who you want…

or something has gotten disconnected or corroded… (?)

Like mentioned in the previous post we don't know what radio is at issue but if it's a modern Garmin radio sidetone volume is an adjustable setting.  Takes 5 min to adjust it.  Other radios may be similar.  If it is a hardware issue I would have a clue where to start.
