Jamesgabel Posted December 3, 2020 Report Posted December 3, 2020 Hello, I have a ‘67 M20F with electric gear. About a year ago I had a gear up landing. The gear got stuck halfway down. My Cfi and I got to land with the fire department waiting for us. This was my bfr flight. Fast forward a year. The engine has had its tear down inspection and has been hung back on the mounts. Here’s where this story could last 5 pages, but I’ll summarize: Basically the mechanic disappeared after many empty promises and out right fabrications. The plane is in Hereford Texas. I need advice on finding a mechanic to help piece her back together. The plane is sitting in a shop, but there is no mechanic. I believe most good mechanics could finish connecting the accessories and wires to the engine, but I feel like I need a mechanic with Mooney experience to get the gear rigged and the belly pieces repaired/replaced. The plane is sitting on the tires now, but no work has been done to the belly and gear. Thanks for names and or advice. Ideally a good mechanic who would be willing to travel would be the best solution I think. Thanks James 1 1
