Full disclosure.....Cirrus owner, but Mooney fan.    Came across this book when cleaning my den today.   Probably  of interest to somebody on the forums here.

Coy actually spent an hour or two talking to me early in my flying career.... he was a neat guy.     Anyway, anybody wants this cover postage and I'll send it your way

My reason for wanting this is my airplane seemed to spend a lot of time at Mod Works.  Still has decals on the tail showing it to be a Trophy 211 conversion.  In the mound of paperwork is a copy of a note from the previous owner's wife to Coy Jacobs, thanking him for all the mods made to her husband's airplane.  Oh, and she was asking what she airplane-related she could get her husband for Christmas.  Really.  I'll have to dig around and take a picture.

Welcome aboard Trazz!

Great compliment regarding Mr. Jacobs.

This book will be great for Many MSers...

Coy was great for updating older Mooneys to newer specs...

Looks like we found a great home for the book already...  :)

If you find anything else like it... there is a great audience here...

Best regards,

There was other correspondence with Coy, the thank you note was actually to Tim.  Sounds like Donna spent some time at Mod Works also. At Tim's suggestion, she bought a Flitestar planner.  Don't know what that was, maybe it had something to do with the ARNAV Flightstar GPS they installed.

The Backward Tales booklet by Coy Jacobs is a collection of all his knowledge of Mooney that he could put in print.  A lot of info there.  If anyone would care to read and likewise, send it on, PM your name and address.

Backward Tales on the way to Vorlon1

Thank you David.

I now have this copy and I am ready to pass it on the the next in line. @hammdo?

I would also be happy to scan this to a PDF, but it is copyrighted, and I don't know if I would be running afoul of those that care... Would the copyright pass to Coys' estate? Is there anyone here that could answer this?

Thanks!

I got it in the mail yesterday and will mail it to FlyBoomer as he was next in line when I am finished.  Has some interesting things in it.  Probably a week or so.

The copyright is the problem. His estate would need to give permission...

otherwise, I would have it on PDF ;o)

Since the book isn't available anywhere for sale and no one would be selling the pdf I wouldn't see any problem. If we share parts and maintenance manuals I can't see why this can't be shared.
