cb310 Posted August 13, 2011 Report Posted August 13, 2011 We are just about to have our new to us 201J based at CAK, Akron, Ohio. The annual will be due in January and we need to find a place for the annual. The plane has just had extensive clean up by a MSC in California, so hopefully it won't be a huge annual. But, with no MSC close to Akron, does someone know an experienced Mooney mechanic in the Akron/Cleveland area? Thanks! Chris ATP CFII Quote
georgeb Posted August 13, 2011 Report Posted August 13, 2011 Is G-Force no longer at CAK? They did a good prebuy for my old M20J. Quote
Parker_Woodruff Posted August 13, 2011 Report Posted August 13, 2011 Is G-Force no longer at CAK? They did a good prebuy for my old M20J and are/were an MSC. that was me, not George in the above post. Quote
cb310 Posted August 15, 2011 Author Report Posted August 15, 2011 I'd been told that G-Force was only doing avionics. I'll check with them directly. Chris Quote
Comatose Posted August 16, 2011 Report Posted August 16, 2011 G force did my pre-buy last year. They seemed like they were doing okay then... Quote
tbrickey Posted August 16, 2011 Report Posted August 16, 2011 I take my J to Blue Ash Aircraft in Blue Ash (Cincinnati). Not real close but closer than California. PM me if you would like some additional contact info. Quote
Amelia Posted August 17, 2011 Report Posted August 17, 2011 When I lived in NE Ohio, a fellow named Clyde Wittenbrook down in Barnesville, I believe it was, was The Mooney guru, knew more about Mooneys than anybody... seemed like a fine guy, last I heard, he was still fixing Mooneys. Might be worth looking him up. Quote
bnicolette Posted August 17, 2011 Report Posted August 17, 2011 You're not that far from Latrobe (KLBE) in Akron. Aero Innovations has been maintaining my Mooney and he is outstanding; A little pricey, but we get what we pay for. Also, Henry Weber is in Lancaster, PA which is a MSC. If you need a ride back when it comes time, let me know, I would be happy to help. Here is the site for Aero Innovations: http://www.aeroinnovationsinc.com/ B~ Quote
cb310 Posted August 19, 2011 Author Report Posted August 19, 2011 Thanks to all for the suggestions! Hopefully, the plane will be in CAK Monday evening. Quote
