Dual Mag Overhaul or Inspection - Good Shops?

Hello all - I have a Dual Mag D4LN-3000 on my J that is coming up on the 500hr inspection.  They are not well supported any more and I am wondering where you guys send yours?  I am on the west coast.

I hear the 3000 mag is much better than the 2000.  is that true?

Yes, it is supposed to be but I don't remember the differences between the two.  I think the -2000 has more ADs on it, but it can be "overhauled" into a -3000 so there can't be a whole lot different.
