Peter T Posted January 29, 2019 Report Posted January 29, 2019 The glass face plate on the vac gauge in my 93 MSE is cracked. Any body know how to remove it for replacement? Quote
neilpilot Posted January 29, 2019 Report Posted January 29, 2019 Are you asking how to remove the glass from your gauge? Replace the gauge. Quote
carusoam Posted January 29, 2019 Report Posted January 29, 2019 Expect to remove the screws, and take the whole gauge out... Look up the price of the new gauge, it probably costs less than the labor to R&R.... Or...if you have a JPI... use the JPI as the gauge/display... Some Long Bodies didn’t get a vac gauge, just lights on an annunciator was thought to be enough... HI & LO... When you remove the gauge, it might be really obvious how to remove the lens. I think mine is a plastic after market set-up. The plastic lens unscrews...(?) Best regards, -a- Quote

thinwing Posted January 29, 2019 Report Posted January 29, 2019 Are you an expert at watch repair? Quote
Andy95W Posted January 29, 2019 Report Posted January 29, 2019 They're only about $200. I've never heard of an instrument shop repairing them. https://www.aircraftspruce.com/pages/in/suction/suctiongauges1.php Quote
