During my last avionics upgrade we test fit it in the 525 PNI location without issue. Building the harness for it now and planning the install for late spring - early summer. Ron true , but you are doing 5 hours of reterminating new connectors.. Quote

Should have mine installed by mid year, will let you know how it goes. http://www.sandel.com/sandel-avionics-products/item/helicopter/sn3500-3-ati-primary-navigation-display Ron just to be clear , the early 3500 sandels have a bulb , that I no longer supported , when it shits , its a 2500 dollar conversion , just to be clear , also if you are getting a 3500 , I hope you have a 28 volt ship..... just to be clear...... and also just to be clear , attitude reversion is only available if you have a sg102 ahars , it is not available using a king or mid continent gyro for heading reference.... It doesn't take advantage of the fan plenum but with the 3500 fan location it doesn't need to and the 3500 bracket doesn't have anything special for the fan, matter of fact the 3500 bracket is much smaller than the 3308 bracket. I used the 3308 bracket for mocking up the unit without any issues before committing to the install kit purchase from Sandel. 11 minutes ago, Alan Fox said: just to be clear , the early 3500 sandels have a bulb , that I no longer supported , when it shits , its a 2500 dollar conversion , just to be clear , also if you are getting a 3500 , I hope you have a 28 volt ship..... just to be clear...... and also just to be clear , attitude reversion is only available if you have a sg102 ahars , it is not available using a king or mid continent gyro for heading reference.... I have a 14v ship with a voltage converter for the Sandel, my 3500 does have the LED (thankfully) and you are absolutely correct on the need for the SG102 mag and ahars for attitude reversion. Anything else I should be aware of before diving into this install? Ron Quote
