Hi - I have an 1983 J model and I am missing an instrument mounting screw on my altimeter.

The parts catalog shows this as a SFS6C14D-L01BK (Mooney specific part number for a screw??)

From what I can tell, it is a #6-40 screw.

I am amazed to not find much information about this on the internet.  Has anyone had experience finding instrument screws?

thanks much!

Aircraft spruce has instrument screws and nuts.  It should be a non magnetic screw.  Otherwise the screw can become magnetized and cause a reading error in the instrument. Be sure to use the correct length.  On some instruments the screw goes into the internal part of the instrument and a screw to long can damage the instrument.
