Dream to fly Posted December 1, 2017 Report Posted December 1, 2017 I am looking for the ground loop connectors that installers use to loop all the grounds and tie off to one terminal. I need to buy some in quantity. Quote
N201MKTurbo Posted December 1, 2017 Report Posted December 1, 2017 Are you talking about solder sleeves? Quote
Dream to fly Posted December 1, 2017 Author Report Posted December 1, 2017 Just now, N201MKTurbo said: Are you talking about solder sleeves? Not sure what they are called. I have seen them on a youtube video that showed them being slipped on around the bundle of wires all grounds looped to the bundle then this connector Or "sleeve" gets soldered and heat shrinked to them leaving one pigtail to ground instead of several. I have looked for that video several times but I have kids that have watched their videos and I can't find what I am looking for. It really makes a nice clean connection. Quote

Thanks. That is why this Forum is GREAT!!! 1 Quote
TTaylor Posted December 1, 2017 Report Posted December 1, 2017 Search SOLDER SLEEVE and Newark, Jamco, or Digi-Key. You will find them with the ground wire. Quote

larryb Posted December 1, 2017 Report Posted December 1, 2017 much cheaper at Allied Electronic than spruce. lc2 are the small ones suitable for most signal wires lc3 are larger https://www.alliedelec.com/view/search/?keyword=70455923 2 Quote
bradp Posted December 1, 2017 Report Posted December 1, 2017 I found that these cheap-o ones from amazon outperformed the $1ea ones I had previously purchased from Newark. 110 PCS Wirefy Solder Seal Wire Connectors - Heat Shrink Butt Connectors - Electrical Wire Terminals - Marine Insulated Butt Splices https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M0EZBYQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_MdEiAb6G5G7EY 1 Quote
takair Posted December 1, 2017 Report Posted December 1, 2017 My old bin stock was drying up. Thanks for the cheaper alternatives! We all learn on this forum. 1 Quote
larryb Posted December 2, 2017 Report Posted December 2, 2017 I prefer the LC2 and LC3 connectors. They are 0.625” long while many of the amazon ones are twice the length. They are what my avionics shop use. Larry 2 Quote
