Danb Posted December 11, 2016 Report Posted December 11, 2016 Sitting in Aal flight 689 Phl-Las, how boring 80 knots headwinds, turbulent as heck, rather be in my Mooney anytime. How was your last flight in the big can? Plus flight time extra 45 minutes Quote
gsxrpilot Posted December 11, 2016 Report Posted December 11, 2016 I might do 200 hours per year in the Mooney, but I also do about 300,000 miles/year on the airlines. Santiago Chile and Seoul Korea in the last three weeks and leaving for Buenos Aires on Tuesday. I'd much rather be in the Mooney, but it doesn't pay the bills. 3 Quote
Joe Zuffoletto Posted December 12, 2016 Report Posted December 12, 2016 Whether I'm in my Mooney, my RV or the Big Can, I'm always happy to be in the air. It just depends on the weather and the mission which one I choose. I'm glad that I'm fortunate enough to be going places, and I never take that for granted. 2 Quote
Johnnybgoode Posted December 12, 2016 Report Posted December 12, 2016 (edited) Just had another checkride in the mid-sized can (C-130) - makes 8 or 10 so far in my career. Only one check in the big can so far - A330. Just wish someone would "one-time" buy me as much avgas as we put in the A330 coming from Brazil or Argentina to ATL. I consider myself fortunate to get to pay the bills from the front of a can rather than working for a living. Patrick Edited December 12, 2016 by Johnnybgoode Quote
