I'm sure tons of you have done this. I have a 77J with back seat that does not fold down.

How do you get a set of clubs in there and do you have any pics? Just had my seats done and I don't want to jack them up.

thanks

I stuffed a set of clubs in my C. I put luggage on the back seat to build up a platform the same height as the seat back. Then pushed the clubs, in a travel bag, all the way back in the hat rack and on top of the luggage in the back seat.  I was flying solo, but it worked fine in the C.

It's been a while but I'm pretty sure you can pull out the "woods" and the bag with irons will stand in the baggage compartment. The woods will fit on an angle. I've traveled with 2 sets at least.

It can't be that hard! I've carried a 10' x 10' canopy in a five-foot-tall zippered case with wheels in my C. Thankfully the back seat folded down in ine side and no one was beside me. I was unable to take a picture, though. Took it to the Mooney Ambassador display at the Indy Air Show the year before it was canceled by the sequester. '11? '12?

I have a Nike travel bag, works great in the E. It'l Carry a full set. I could probably fit 2 sets. Grab a few towels wrap what you need to. Mine fit laying on the back seats extending into the baggage bay.

Very unlikely. Almost all folks play with standard length clubs, either men's or women's.

I don't think so, maybe with wedges.

The carry bags will fit across the backseat, I then lay the woods across the seat back, with heads in the hat rack, the irons across the luggage compartment from side to side, heads on the floor, they don't lay flat, so I cover grips to protect against scuff marks, with them up against the seat back. You can carry 2 with most of the luggage area still available.

Edit: luggage compartment is 35" high, a 7 iron is 40", even wedges are 36". Not to mention extra inch for the bag base. Cabin is 44", so you could stand them on the floor behind the front seat, but you'd have to leave your seats forward

Height of the golfer will impact club length and possibly how, and where, they fit in your plane.

Taller golfers just have more upright lies, club length usually standard or close to it, might extend them an inch if you're really tall.

I'm really tall and my wife is not. Probably a good 2" between our club lengths. I would say that is a difference based on height.

I've never tried putting them in either of our Mooneys but my experience has been that a couple of inches can make a difference in how you load a Mooney. If everyone here has standard sized clubs and they fit that's great. It was simply an observation on club length.

I had a 1980 m20j and the clubs fit with know problem.  Take the woods out, driver, 3wood, 7wood and with the handles first place them in the opening on the floor between the back seat where the toe bar fits, club heads angled uptowards the baggage door.  Place the bag bottom first in angled from the back seat to the hat rack and close the door.

This is not at all helpful, just interesting (maybe).

A full set of golf clubs fits horizontally behind the front seats of a PiperSport/Czech SportCruiser LSA. Pretty amazing since you can't even do that in an A36 Bonanza!

In my J I just put the 45" driver's in the hat rack and the other end over the back seat, a couple bags fit diagonally in the luggage area, both sets weigh about 12 lbs. total, depending on whats in the bag, Will not be a problem

True...If I get any shorter I'm going to need to start playing with ladies clubs!
