zubin Posted May 14, 2016 Report Posted May 14, 2016 I'm looking for a 1997-98 M20J. If you have, or know of one for sale, please contact zubin235@yahoo.com Thanks! Quote
carusoam Posted May 15, 2016 Report Posted May 15, 2016 Welcome aboard, Zubin. There are a couple of planes for sale here at MooneySpace. An M20E and an Ovation/M20R... Have you been to the sites of LASAR.com and All American Aircraft http://allamericanaircraft.com/Default.htm Best regards, -a- Quote
zubin Posted May 15, 2016 Author Report Posted May 15, 2016 Carusoam, I've been looking for a late model M20J for 3 or 4 months and have let a few good ones get away. I sold my plane and am now in a position to move quickly. I search the used aircraft sites almost daily including LASAR and All Americanaircraft but what makes this fun is the people I have met online or face to face along the way. Stories, suggestions and tips are just a click away. One Mooney owner came right to my home airport and let me fly his plane for lunch and fuel which was a big mistake because now I'm really addicted! Thanks for your response, help, and suggestions. carusoam Posted May 15, 2016 Report Posted May 15, 2016 I know the feeling... I flagged down an MS member flying over NJ to talk about IO550s and missiles... I traded some bottled water for his thoughts on the IO550, while he self-served some low cost NJ 100LL... I have proven myself to be a victim of mission creep... If a C is good, Then a 310hp O would be better... Enjoy the hunt! (know what a good PPI is) Best regards, -a- Quote
M20F Posted May 15, 2016 Report Posted May 15, 2016 Call All American and talk to Dave or Jimmy they will find what you want and two of the best in the biz. 1 Quote
zubin Posted May 15, 2016 Author Report Posted May 15, 2016 I like All Americans page and look at it frequently for new listings, I hadn't thought about hiring a broker to do a search for me? That may be a good next step. Thanks Quote
Bob_Belville Posted May 15, 2016 Report Posted May 15, 2016 Zubin, a friend of mine has a 1996 M20J MSE 1700 TT, 650 SMOH (in 2011) and is looking to move up to an Ovation. Nice plane, flown regularly, here in NC. I don't think he has listed it anywhere yet. Quote

zubin Posted May 16, 2016 Author Report Posted May 16, 2016 What a small world. I've lived here since 1978 and started flying in 1981, did you ever come up to the airport? Quote
Bob_Belville Posted May 16, 2016 Report Posted May 16, 2016 Just now, zubin said: What a small world. I've lived here since 1978 and started flying in 1981, did you ever come up to the airport? Yes, but it's been quite a few years. We moved from VT to PA in 1957 but we get to NE every summer, mostly ME, NH, MA where we have family. Quote
carusoam Posted May 16, 2016 Report Posted May 16, 2016 NA Mooney flyin' in the NE in N.E. is spectacula! Rosetta Stone for Mooney pilots... Normally aspirated Mooney flying in the north east in New England is spectacular! Best regards, -anthony- Quote
