ArtVandelay Posted January 5, 2016 Report Posted January 5, 2016 Reviewing my logbook: 109 flights and over 180 hours, first full year of ownership, hoping for a lower insurance premium this year. Quote
lukejb Posted January 5, 2016 Report Posted January 5, 2016 I flew 165 hours in last 12 months and finished Commercial and completed Basic, Advanced and Master Wings programs in hopes of lowering insurance premiums. Mine went down 4%..... Quote
StinkBug Posted January 5, 2016 Report Posted January 5, 2016 I didn't count the number of flights, but 355.6 hours in 2015. Got my instrument, commercial and multi commercial ratings. 1 Quote

PaulB Posted January 5, 2016 Report Posted January 5, 2016 175.9 hours for 2015 for me including my first 0.6 of turbine time in a Meridian. Plan on finally getting serious about my commercial this year. Quote
peevee Posted January 5, 2016 Report Posted January 5, 2016 only flew about 60, nowhere to go I guess. made a nice 17hr 9 day trip that was pretty memorable to the west coast and a couple short overnighters around home that were nice. Quote
DXB Posted January 6, 2016 Report Posted January 6, 2016 95 hours, 90 in the M20C, which I purchased right after finishing my PPL last December. Longest trip to St Louis MO, several others throughout the northeast. Quote
75_M20F Posted January 6, 2016 Report Posted January 6, 2016 (edited) I have almost 900 hours for 2015. 25 in the M20F and the rest in the A320. Around 12,000 Total time so far. Edited January 6, 2016 by Mooney_Mike Quote
JasonW Posted January 6, 2016 Report Posted January 6, 2016 35 flights, 55 hours, and an instrument rating last Sunday. Looking forward to 2016! 1 Quote
Openwheeler3 Posted January 6, 2016 Report Posted January 6, 2016 109 hrs in 79 flights. Didn't fly a lot for several reasons. Quote

I just googled states visited map or something and that was the first one that came up, I am on POA as well though. Those are states flown through as PIC, all of them were in a 2 week span this summer, only 4 of them had also been done previously. Quote
StinkBug Posted January 6, 2016 Report Posted January 6, 2016 That's a pretty long average flight! Quote
rainman Posted January 6, 2016 Report Posted January 6, 2016 48 flights and 100 hrs, lots of BBQ trips around Texas and a few trips to Michigan from Texas. Quote
Immelman Posted January 6, 2016 Report Posted January 6, 2016 51 hours of fun in the Mooney 637 hours, most of which were still fun, hauling unsuspecting passengers around a good chunk of the country, and a bit into Canada & Mexico too. Quote
Lance Keve Posted January 6, 2016 Report Posted January 6, 2016 2015 was the year! Is this a dream? I stopped flying in '99 with 83 hours in 150's/172's. Certificated at 48 hours, just for reference point. Took delivery of my E on August 26th, 2015 and started transition training. 5.7 hours and signed off (I have no idea how insurance had no dual minimum, but that's what the policy stated...just a sign-off). I guess all that mental flying and reading over the previous year worked. Finished 2015 with 38 solo Mooney hours and flew on Dec. 31st (for cheaper fuel) and Jan. 1 (to visit Dad) Still pinching myself. Thanks again to all that have helped, directly and indirectly. Dec. 5: Hudson SFRA Jan. 1: Heading Northeast in CT, towards home (KBVY). Regards, Lance 3 Quote
kpaul Posted January 7, 2016 Report Posted January 7, 2016 That's a pretty long average flight! I wish it was all in my Mooney however, I have only owned it since December. Most of that was PC-12 time and 90% of that was over seas. While the PC-12 cockpit is larger than the Mooney it's pretty cramped especially after 5 hours. Quote
xrs135 Posted January 7, 2016 Report Posted January 7, 2016 92.3 in my M20C for 2015. Probably around 100 if I counted the flights in other planes. I need to up my game. Hoping for 150ish in 2016!! Quote
ryoder Posted January 8, 2016 Report Posted January 8, 2016 I only logged around fifty this year. Interior mods, tank seal, PC repair, new windshield etc took a lot of my time but the Mooney is looking and flying better than ever. Quote
Oldguy Posted January 8, 2016 Report Posted January 8, 2016 With all the various shoulder problems, I was down to a little less than 60 hours in 2015 after almost twice that in 2014. And 2016 is starting off with a whimper: thumb joint replacement surgery with a multiple month recovery potential. Fortunately several good friends have volunteered to take one for the team and fly my plane regularly for me until I am able. Each said they would even buy their own fuel. What great guys! Quote
garytex Posted January 9, 2016 Report Posted January 9, 2016 If you aren't flying for work, and you work, it's pretty tougher crack 100 hrs/yr in a plane. 4 Quote
Greg252AY Posted January 11, 2016 Report Posted January 11, 2016 93 hours of mooney time having fun and going when and where I want. 600 hours flying around the world for money to pay for the mooney. Quote
Pictreed Posted January 11, 2016 Report Posted January 11, 2016 I'm in the same boat as Lance...this is a dream. 'Stopped flying in '97, started flying again in September to get my Instrument rating (paid by others), flew my first Mooney in December for 1.7 hours. From September to December I got about 65 hours. Hopefully the Mooney deal will come through in February and I'll continue on with Commercial I'll and multi for 2016. Tim Quote
